Today is the last day of my financial month as its the day before my payday. I started with my salary of £1829.91 and £28.94 left in my bank account from the previous month.
I now have £471.31 left in my account, so i have just made my monthly lump sum payment of £450.00 to my Natwest CC bringing the balance now down to £3844.98NOW UNDER £4,000
This months summary is a little easier than last month as all my debts are now all in one place and havent changed from other sources half way through the month which makes it a whole load easier to summarise.
Debts summary :
Debt balances when i started posting on this forum on 6th Jan
Hastings Loan £2962.60
Virgin CC £1230.00
Tesco CC £2273.00
Total £6465.60
......................................................................................................................................................
Debt balances at the start of this month (May)
All debts moved (in April) to Natwest 12 month 0% CC £4428.23
Total £4428.23
...................................................................................................................................................
A summary of payments this month :
All to Natwest CC
Total daily payments = £71.25
Total Weekly payments = £62.00
Lump sum payment = £450.00
Total payments = £583.25
This payment total is up by £147.90 from last month, im not quite sure how it is this much more tbh but im happy that it is more.
My end of month total outstanding debt is now £3844.98
Reduced by £2620.62 since 3rd January
......................................................................................................................................................
Savings/Emergency account payments this month :
Previous balance £267.50
This months payments +£160.00
End balance £427.50
(I still havent paid for the part i needed to fix my car, i have asked (where i work) to pay for it on around 3 separate occasions but been told to do it another time, so i will leave it to them now to ask me for payment, i have tried)
......................................................................................................................................................
In Summary :
As you can see i have now paid off over 40% of my total debt i started with. Moving up from 33.57% to over 40% with my lump sum payment of £450.00
I achieved this months aim to get my debt to under £4,000 which im pleased with. Next months aim is to get the total down to under £3400 if possible.
Also the average payment for the next 10 months has come down to under £385 a month to get it all cleared within the 12 month interest free period on my Natwest CC. I am hopeful that i can continue to pay off as much as possible and bring this average monthly payment figure down and hopefully get it paid off in 7 or 8 months if possible.
That is it for this month, im really happy with the total i have managed to pay off this month. Next month will be a little different and a little less will be paid off over the month as it is a 5 Friday month, which means 5 payments into my emergency savings account but we will see how it goes.
Im getting there slowly but surely
Thanks for all your comments, advice, support and words of encouragement over the month everyoneDebts on Jan 6th 2025
