From your posts I dont expect you to be into this at all but my daughter was reading out to me earlier how this year has been the Chinese year of the snake. She said that as the snake sheds its skin it represents you getting rid of things that youve been clinging on to that are no longer right for you and clears a path for the following year of the horse to be able to gallop through. 

I could relate some of what she was saying to my own.circs this year but it also reminded me of your diary where you spend the year 'shedding' the debt in order to clear a path for next year.

Like I say I suspect youll think of it as mumbo jumbo 🤣 but I still thought it apt.

Awww thanks for the snake/horse quotes. I love all on the board too. I *think* they may have published a book with their daily quotes on.

You are very right. I have just checked it out they published a book back in Nov 2020, which became a Sunday Times best seller, then they released another in 2022. If they were on your daily commute it would certainly be interesting to read them each day to give yourself a little boost on the way to or from work. 



Thank you. Im not too sure where this years journey is heading that much as of yet. But my main focus is on my mortgage renewal smack bang in the middle of the year. So in a couple of months time when my current mortgage provider lets me see their renewal offers (4 months before), i will check out their new offers and then shop around to see if it can be beaten and then if it is worth it to switch to another provider or not. In the mean time im just going to try and save a chunk of my salary each month until then and then after i know how much my mortgage is going up by i can then work out my finances better and see where it takes me.
