Another of my top 3 quote pics of the year.
I saw this quote very early on in the year and i have kept it until the very end as i thought this was very fitting that it took almost exactly one year to change my life by getting myself out of debt. Not every word matches my story, but the message behind the quote still applies. With daily focused effort and living within my means and making small sacrifices it can make a big difference over time 🫶🏼

This is my final top 3 quote of this year.
This represents personal growth and achievement that i have managed over the year, from going a whole year with no alcohol and overcoming personal issues, to paying off my debt. I have managed to change my mindset and will be using my brain to think more long term before i do things in the future 🧠❤️

It's DEBT FREE DAY !!!!!!!! 🥳🥳
After todays daily payment above, my debt total amount currently stands at £244.18
I started this month with £4.27 left in my account from last month and my monthly salary of £1753.51. I now have £114.64 left in my bank.
My Emergency/savings account balance currently stands at £376.43
I have transferred £300.00 from my savings account into my current account giving the following new balances :
Current account £414.64
Emergency/Savings account £76.43
I have now just this second made my final lump sum payment of the outstanding balance of £244.18 on my Natwest CC leaving a balance of £0.00 😁🥳🫶🏼
Current account balance now stands at £170.46. I have transferred more to my current account than i need as my monthly CSA payment of £71.20 comes out of my bank on the 28th of the month but i dont receive my salary until the 31st Dec. Also my weekly standing order of £40.00 back into my savings account gets taken on a Friday, so the funds for these things need to be there before i get paid. I also may need a small amount for food or petrol before the end of the month also.

Summary :
So, with it being Xmas i have spent a hell of a lot more than i normally do during a typical month, but i knew this would be the case and my emergency/savings/one off account was build up for this very reason, as i knew these extra one off costs were around the corner and i was fortunate enough to be able to build up some money to pay for these aswell as pay money towards my debt each month.
My aim for this month was to pay off the debt by Xmas day and I DID IT !!!! 🥳
I have done 362 consecutive daily payments without missing a single one and managed a total of 290 No Spend days out of a total of 354 and out of interest i have spent a total of £1572.54 on food in roughly a year (~ 51 week period)
I managed to complete my xmas shopping and got it all wrapped and ready a lot earlier than i usually do and i found it a lot less stressful too, so hopefully i can do the same next year and the years to come.
Aims and Looking ahead ......
Well in the near future i need to rebuild up my savings/emergency account back up again. Ideally i would like this to be at least 3 months worth of bills. So around £3,500 - £4,000 in an ideal world. I also need to pay off the ~ £5,000 i owe to a family member so i will be saving towards this also.
I need to research into my mortgage renewal which will soon come around in June and see if i can secure a decent rate. I'm hopeful that the Bank of England will reduce interest rates at least once more to at least 3.5% before then. It would be nice if they would reduce it twice or more but i can only see one more reduction before my renewal in June. Then i have the dilemma of fixing for 2 or 5 years. But that is a few months away yet, so no need to worry about that too much as of yet as a lot can change in politics and the world before we get anywhere near close to then.
I would like to get myself out the house more and build my confidence in some way or another. I would in an ideal world like to start going to a gym and build a bit of a routine in my physical health also. I just don't know what i'm really doing when i get there and i tend to lose interest when i don't see any results quite quickly (surprisingly i don't have much patience). I also don't like doing things that to me don't make any sense, i mean why lift an item (weights in this case) just to put them back down again? why don't people who like going to the gym work on a builders yard and carry bricks all day? carrying and moving items to and from places, lifting and putting them down again. This to me has a purpose and is productive. It all just seems a waste of energy and time and like it's being done for nothing lol. I know people will say it's not a waste of time it helps to build and condition your body over time, but as im not a fitness person, even though im stick thin, i find it hard to get my head around 🤣 sorry, im just waffling at this point.
Also, I don't know if im too old or not (i know i have posted numerous quotes about its never too late and your never too old to start, but its easy to say than do when you have very little confidence and social interaction with people like me), but i would like to learn new skills with some kind of course to retrain or learn a trade of some kind, either with adult part time courses after work or a full week of my annual leave on an intensive course of some kind (i would have to find a dog sitter). There are big (for me) costs to pay for these courses (several thousands depending on which course) which i don't know if i will like or be any good at until i have paid and attended and ultimately lost that big chunk of money that could have been used elsewhere.
So i will have to think long and hard about it. I will probably let this pass me by again for another year as i need to build up some funds to fall back on and repay my family debt as a priority, and with my mortgage going to go up in June i will have less free income to do this with than i currently do, but we will see how the year pans out. I would also much like to have a holiday but I will probably have car issues, i'm due something to go wrong with my car it usually happens to me unfortunately.
Thank you all for all your kind comments, help, advice, support, encouragement and guidance over this last year, i really do appreciate it. It has helped me so much in the past year. Best of luck with your own personal battles.
I hope you all have a wonderful time this Christmas 🎅🏼🎄❤️
