Thanks [button defunct] Timmne and Gazza, I'll give that a go - whenever I see a thread that weighty, I find it a bit daunting.

I have just joined and was wondering if you have to actually BUY items or can you just take up offers, for example the Betfair one? Also, do they pay out regularly and how does that work?

    Thanks

The quick answer is yes, you have to buy things, or like with the betfair one, there will be qualifying amounts to place (Betfair was £10 deposit).

There are limited ones for sign-ups only, but they pay next to nothing.

Each referrer has it's own T&Cs which are plainly listed on Quidco.
It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.

Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.

    Hi guys

I'm fairly new to Quido. I recently took out an HSA policy, via Quido, which tracked sucessfully. All the criteria to recieve the money was met.

When I log into Quidco, it states the payment has been declined.

There is no explanation. Should I contact HSA or Quidco? I imagine most staff members of HSA would have no idea about Quidco.

    Please help!

    Hi,

The HSA programme is part of the SureShop scheme - they basically try to sort these things out.

  • Just thought I would share this experience in case it happens to someone else who may be equally as annoyed as I was...

I signed up for extrabet through quidco, as you deposit and bet £10 and get £25 cashback. So I registered and deposited the money using safari (which is the browser on OS X) with no probs. But it was impossible for me to place a bet. I could see the races, odds etc, but there was nothing for me to select or click to actually place a bet, no matter how many times I refreshed the page. I eventually gave it a go in firefox and it worked first time, but because different browsers don't share cookies, I think it's unlikely that I will get my cashback even though I have submitted a query.

So a warning to mac users - I only use quidco in firefox now just to make sure I don't lose out on cashback opportunities.

Safari is useless! Loads of times I've tried to email catalogue companies (for example) and the 'send' button just doesn't work in Safari.

Also, I do online surveys and have major problems whenever I try to do them in Safari. I've switched to Firefox and that seems to work fine.
  • Well I wouldn't say that - Safari is much faster and easier to use than most browsers, but a minority of web developers forget that there is anything but IE out there. So unfortunately, the nice people at extrabet made the website compatible enough for the customer to deposit money in the account, but not compatible enough to do anything with that money! Hmmm :wall:

    Just a heads up, anyway.
