Happy New Year @themadvix
I hope the adjustments to your heatpump install go to plan and are soon finished so you can draw a line under it. Like you we didn't go and see another ASHP in situ before our install, summer 2022, thankfully the pipe/cable run is neat and logical. A friend has recently has an ASHP fitted, I've enjoyed visiting a warmer house, but only once it is dark or pouring so I have yet to see how tidy the fitting is.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Forgot to mention that one bookie randomly gave me £5 yesterday, so I've withdrawn that.Have also discovered that my Prolific balance is £12.48, so will focus on getting this up (avoiding AI) to help with the month's income.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Sorry, forgot to say thanks KK and QueenJess. I’m still getting worse, which is pretty depressing, but hoping things will improve tomorrow. Mr MV definitely beginning to feel better.
I’m glad your heat pump run was sensible BB. I think ours was largely down to young/lazy workmen. It’s definitely better now! Hopefully your friend’s one is fine too. Imagine if it is fitted by an independent they’ll be far more thoughtful as they rely on their reputation (not that Octopus doesn’t).

I wonder if that is due to high take-up or high risk of reputational damage and high costs of redoing shoddy worksSave £12k in 2026 #2 I have banked £9004.48 so far, against a £10k target The 2026 Save £12k in 2026 thread is here

Well the people I saw last night weren’t surprised by the feedback I gave them from here of an actual install … 🙄Suffolk_lass said:I wonder if that is due to high take-up or high risk of reputational damage and high costs of redoing shoddy works
The husband commented that he thought it was about Octo keeping back some of the levy monies that they were using for the grants. I wonder if they just have enough work in the pipeline until March? 🤷♀️

KKI'm not sure what grant they're pulling? The BUS grant from the government, which is the only major one I'm aware of, is not being pulled. It's certainly still listed on their website. I can imagine in some areas they are fully booked until March however. Please remember I am just one customer - it's not been a good experience, but they are putting it right, and I'm sure plenty of others go just fine - I think it was Lulabelle who said she'd very happy with her Cosy 9. We're also still very much early adopters and there's always going to be issues as things are ironed out (e.g. the white trunking!).Definitely think the cost of redoing our work will have undone any profit they will make from it though!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Afternoon all,Finally turning the corner with the cold (thanks Jessy!). Felt absolutely awful yesterday - it's been a really sinusy virus this one. Fortunately Mr MV is feeling better and looked after me (unfortunately, he's still feeling much better than me and has started 'tidying' and demanding answers from me when I am not up to it...). Still taking it easy today, but am currently at my desk trying to get a bit further with the work I need to return tomorrow (as Friday was pretty much a write-off).I did do a bunch of 1P surveys on Friday - am close to payout there so will endeavour to get that into the bank before the end of the month (payout is quicker these days, but I might still be being optimistic). Have done a couple of tiny PA surveys too.Otherwise, we've not spent much - Mr MV popped to the Coop for a few bits yesterday (bread, eggs, milk and pain relief). A cheap NY so far!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days
