Peb thanks it's just so frustrating as I had so many gardening plans. I have watched a few films and the book I'm reading is a good one.

DH had a productive day. He built some new bird feeding stations with an anti-rat design and changed the windscreen wipers on the car.

I managed a one-handed shower which was lovely (I couldn’t manage yesterday), but DH still had to tie my hair up for me. I do think that my wrist is getting better, at least it’s more mobile as I can now hold light things in my hand (a cup of coffee is still not possible though).

I managed to sow some seeds today – lettuce, spinach, kale and marigolds. It might be a bit early for the conditions here, but only time will tell.

DH did a large grocery shop to top up on bread, milk, salad, fruit, cheese and yoghurt. He also bought stuff for the bathroom and cleaning supplies. I asked him to get some seeds for me – tomato and sweet pepper, because the packets I have left are fairly old, and chard, because I don’t have any. I can’t believe I didn’t have any chard, as it is such an easy and productive crop.

It’s very windy today so lots of electricity is being generated. I can’t do much still as my wrist is badly sprained and I still can’t hold even cutlery.

DH has done a few loads of laundry, fixed a door and is continuing to do all the cooking and household chores. He is a star.

I've not really done anything today as my wrist is still very painful.

The weather here was very stormy this morning with a lot of rain and a couple of new minor leaks appeared.

DH has been busy today. He changed some light fittings, baked a sponge cake and a coffee cake, and cleared the encroaching grass from the border of the drive. I managed to put the laundry away, but that is a big step forward for my healing wrist.

DH has been working hard today as he's been removing overgrown ivy. There is so much of it that it will take him a while to remove all that's needed. It has overgrown an 8 foot high, very long wall and part of the roof.

I'm getting some dexterity back in my hand so I've been sorting out what white diamante I need for some jewellery. I have no white stones left, but I have other colours, so I find a stone that fits, and measure it with a digital vernier calliper. I will place an order tomorrow. I'm still not up to gluing the stones in place, but I'm definitely on an upward trend.

The lettuce I planted outside has started to grow I just hope that the weather remains reasonable so that the plants aren't killed off.

DH was due a delivery on Tuesday but it was cancelled. Fortunately, the re-scheduled delivery turned up today as DH was getting anxious. He hasn't removed any more ivy has he had other work to do and he was very tired after yesterday - the pile of ivy that he's cut away is enormous.

His anti-rat bird feeding table seems to have worked. However, the temporary fencing to keep the sheep out of the garden hasn't so he's had to shore it up more. Roll on the good weather as there is so much to fix outside.

DH has been busy again today hacking off more ivy. He also fixed a plastic toolbox that had cracked when dropped. He used a heat gun to melt the split and it worked very well.

I've put together some beads and charms ready to make some bracelets and I'm hoping that my wrist is now dexterous enough to be able to thread them tomorrow.

My seedlings seem to be doing pretty well, although my wrist still isn't good enough to allow me to do any heavy gardening. I couldn't even hold a hand trowel at the moment.
