sugarbaby125 said:Hello Ladies,
Happy New Year to you all. I hope all of you achieve your personal goals in 2025.
I decided to take charge of my health by losing weight in 2024. I managed to lose 2 stones in 2024 and my personal goal for 2025 is to lose another 2 stones. I went from 17 stones 21bs to 15 stones 21bs.
All the life lessons that I learnt from being part of this thread, I continually put into practice in my life on a daily basis. I wear perfume and jewellery every day. When I am going to Karaoke, Reggaeoke or the theatre, I will make more of an effort and layer my Elizabeth Arden Red Door, with the matching products and wear some make up.
I'm seriously envious, I've managed to combine putting on weight with looking very drawn I need to move some weight to my face!3 -
Well this is a mix of good and bad. We hear so much of how bad the NHS is but this is my experience. Went for a well woman check up today. Nurse was lovely, very painless blood test and my weight is actually OK but I am at the upper end so can't put more on, my blood pressure is also OK but only just. I mentioned a symptom I had, nothing dreadful but she said she'd speak to the GP. Two hours later I get a call to say doctor wants a specific blood test, apologised they couldn't fit it in today but booked me for 9 am Monday. Pretty efficient and I certainly can't say they've kept me waiting. Slightly worried that they are clearly taking this seriously but impressed that our over worked NHS can be so fast.5

Hello Purplepixie,
Thank you for such a beautiful compliment. you have made my month if not my year
I too have had some really good experiences of NHS treatment and care, but I have also had some very negative experiences within the NHS when I should have been cared for, especially when I was literally at death's door.

Hello Lovely Ladies.Sorry I have been awol but life gets in the way sometimes doesn't it.Very busy with the house move. I officially move in on Thursday. It's been a very hectic and trying time (lots of niggles and setbacks but I won't bore you all with the details). Not sleeping very well which doesn't help. Hey ho.I did manage a week away in the Peak District last week. which probably saved my bacon, I think I would have been hospitalised by now if I hadn't taken that time out and had a breather. The weather was glorious and I had a really good time. It was a nice break from all the stress and nonsense.I don't think I will be in a rush to move again........lol. Never mind it WILL be worth it.And then it will be time to concentrate on ME.7
