Welcome Catlady2025.
I forgot a morning weigh-in until today. The electronic scales are not working (all batteries seem flat) and so used mechanical ones which are more difficult to read.
It looks as though, despite homemade mincepies, Christmas pudding, and chocolate at the end of 2024 Q4, my weight has not gone up too much since last weigh-in. Also my calorie intake for Wednesday and Thursday was in the "loss making" range.
I'm already within the lower part of the healthy BMI band but feel happier when a little lighter. So I'll work towards a 7 lb loss for this quarter, please Brambling.8 -
Good morning. I’d like to join in please. I have decided to try a weight loss injection as I am so seriously overweight but I won’t go on about that as I know that isn’t the ethos of this board. Other than that it’ll be good old fashioned home cooking and calorie tracking if needed.I’m going to be ambitious and hope I can aim for half a stone a month, so my first target will be 21lbs loss in the first quarter.2025 - Declutter to Move House

That was not with any medication as I was not diabetic.
I did use Paul McKenna's "I can make you thin" book and CD. It was actually the CD which was important as the book said no more than one already knew from years of trying to lose weight.
A food diary, listing everything eaten and when, was really helpful. It has helped me to maintain my healthy BMI status. I'd suggest doing that so that you can see what works and the way forward once you have ceased the injection regime.
Good luck.7 -
I'm dieting again this year after putting on everything I lost before and more. I've aimed for 25lb loss this year even though I'd love to double that. For my first quarter I'll try for 10lb.2025 DECLUTTERING CAMPAIGN MrsSD. Physical 92, Digital 203, 10 Used Up

I've only just started less than a month ago but thrilled with my losses so far. I hope you achieve all you strive for as its quite a task when you have lots to lose. 😉AUGUST GROCERY CHALLENGE £115.93/ £250

Hi, may I join you lovely people in your weight loss challenge?I haven’t done anything like this before but needs must I’m afraid and thought with support and accountability I might just succeed.
I’m away at the moment but plan to weigh myself on Monday morning and come back with my target if that’s ok5 -
Hi Molina_Girl 👋 and good luck
Cheerfulness I find I do better when I menu plan and cook from scratch it can also help to keep the shopping bill less if I do this and stick to a shopping list! I often have the 'good' idea that I can add low calorie snacks to the trolley and have one a day ie a Freddie frog, pack of lentil chips but unfortunately I find sitting on my own in the evening can mean I eat the whole pack rather than just the oneI must stop doing it!

Brambling- I find I'm the same when it comes to snacking. I have to be really careful as I'm an emotional eater and the evenings are when DH goes to work and its tempting to sit and nibble when I'm on my own. Keeping myself occupied with jigsaws helps.
Love your user name BTW.

Had WI on Friday with expected result following celebrations for Twixmas, OH birthday and NYE.
Pleased to note I gained just 3.5 lbs over the whole of the festive fortnight - old me would have done around half a stone (one year it was 10lbs!).
Starting weight for 2025 is officially 13st 12lbs.
I'm still 2st 4lbs lighter than at my heaviest but have at least the same again to lose (had lost 3.5 stones, then life became unbearable for a while).
I've decided 2025 IS the year I get into the healthy weight/BMI range.
Phew, didn't intend to unload but feel better for it
