I am very grateful to this thread. The last 3 years have been tough for me, the last 3 months tougher still. Without keeping on posting here I think it would be very easy to give up the tiny number of AF days I am managing. It has sometimes felt pointless bringing up the bottom of the league table but on some level I know it is important to me the thread is there in the background. Each new month gives a chance to
revisit and reinvent. I am very thankful for everyone who posts on here, and in particular to Cathybird with her amazing emojis!
Declaring early again for 3/14 please Cathybird. Had a wobble for about half an hour last night but it passed.

Sorry to hear you've been having such a tough time @WannabeFree.
Well done on all the AF days you have achieved.👍🏼 Be positive!
My advice would be to set a lower target that you can achieve, (perhaps 7🤔) and then try to beat that. Just a thought as it works for me.6 -
Thanks @maman , my current self talk is based on hitting at least 100 AFD this year so I am in triple figures. I found when I had a lower target I would just leave it later in the month to start. Something about the excitement of only starting the plan on the edge of what is possible is going on here. I don't understand it. Your approach is much more logical. My annual target this year was 14 x 12 as I felt two weeks a month drinking would be a happy baseline but somehow haven't consistently done it. Roll on 2026...https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6621582/ynab-robber-needs-help-to-execute-the-plan/p1
