- Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
- Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Sunday continued: DH went out for another walk after dinner. DSis & I watched War for the Planet of The Apes - very sad 😢 One last attempt to catch up with the cheerleading 🤞
Excellent & eclectic decluttering TC77 👏 Shame that the decorators haven’t started work yet but it sounds like you don’t mind too much 🤞
Wednesday2000, seems like anyone who gets PIP has to go to tribunal - what a waste of resources & how stressful for anyone applying 😡 Great decluttering 👏 & what a lovely treat 🤤
daisy_1571, This “Yes it was me tc77. I jot the date I watch or listen to them on their paper envelope hoping that it will help in a future thin-out to see the ones I've watched several times and the ones I've consistently passed over. Having them all listed on the excel spreadsheet means I can quickly find what I want to watch or listen to without having to keep them in alphabetical order. I've recently been enjoying musicals whilst I'm doing my huge photography project so I just glance down the printout looking for 'musical', check the number and quickly find the one I want. I've been enjoying evita, calamity Jane, my fair lady amongst others 🙂” is such a great idea & saves so much time ☺️
Excellent decluttering BlueJ94 👏 although I am wondering what happened to the black skull 😉 I have made a note of your target & am polishing gold stars ready to make awards 😊
Floss, lucky DS2 😊
TC77, sorry to hear you lost your post ☹️ Shame about the coffee pot getting broken 😔 hopefully you have a spare 🤞Good news that two large items have been picked up 👏 Fingers crossed that someone picks up the mattress 🤞
Muddy_Walker, This “Thank you all! It is a huge weight off our minds and I can finally look at my new normal and plan accordingly ☺️” is such a lovely way to look at it after all the stress 🥹
vulpix, I still have the Le Creuset hanging box thing but only the small saucepan. I managed to ruin the other 4 😢 However I do still have the two frying pans which although heavy are still in use - perfect for cooking steaks. A wedding present from my aunt & uncle (both sadly gone now) on my first attempt 😂 Not too long now before DGS2 2B arrives so I don’t blame you for knitting more items for him 🥹 Hope you have a lovely time visiting DS, DIL & DGS1 🥹 This “I confess to bringing in a beautiful free bench. The seat needs recovering. I shall look forward to doing this one. Gotta keep myself occupied. Haha.” had me in absolute stitches 🤣 Please remember to post before & after photos 🙏
Willowtree222, sorry to hear that the mental stress of your job was too much so that you felt the need to declutter it 😞 However your mental health is far more precious 🥹 I wish you success in finding a less stressful job when you are ready 😊
Excellent work decluttering your pantry shelves suzeesu2000 👏 So neat & tidy now 🤩 I did notice that ‘someone’ obviously loves HP brown sauce 😉
BlueJ94, pleased to hear that you had some time off from the decluttering 🥹 Very well done on restricting your purchases to one needed item 👏 Are you a red wine or white wine kind of lady 😅
Lovely to see you wishus 👋 Yippee to doing a Tip run 🥳 especially as you managed to declutter some large items 👏 Good luck with your listings on eebygum 🍀
TC77, well that isn’t very generous of your DDs 😉 fancy resisting your attempts to declutter to them 😂 Hope your washing got dry outside 🤞
What a great start BlueJ94 👏
A busy Sunday florianatwobob 👏 Chicken roast dinner 🤤
daisy_1571, I am aiming for 03:30 😉
StickyTheStickInsect, wonderful that your kids enjoyed the holiday 😊 but it sounds like you need a holiday to recover 😅 Sorry to hear that your cat was cross about her “enforced holiday” 🙁 Hopefully she will forgive you once you have fussed over her for the next week 😂 What a pain having your DC each returning to school on different days 🙁 So very sorry to hear about your Mum 😢 Excellent decluttering 👏 I am awarding you a Gold Star ⭐️ for sailing past the next point at which I was making an award 🥳 228 bags is a phenomenal number of bags decluttered 🤩
Yippee I have caught up 🥳 Cwtches are available for everyone 🤗 Sleep tight 😴

Decluttering grass from my mums lawn today, along with her dental appointment.. 😖 here’s hoping it goes well as she has to have a few appointments over the next few months to help correct some issues & she’s really not keen! 🫣
So, Not much being decluttered from my household, perhaps the bag for the charity shop and box of jigsaw puzzles if I can find time to drop them off..
Hope everyone has a kind and productive week! ☺️"There's a little witch in all of us"🔮🪬🧿DEBT FREE 06/2018Mrs SD’s Decluttering 2025 ⭐️ 🥇🥇🥇12 -
Willowtree, I hope you feel better soon and find much pleasanter work,x
TC, I offer my kids stuff once. if they say no, off it goes to the chazzer or free stuff site. I must say though it's nice to see things in their homes that I have given them.
I read something yesterday about passing things on if they no longer serve you. I thought that was a good way of looking at things.
I must remember to take a before photo of the bench Mrs SD.It only needs the cushion recovering but it needs me to find just the right fabric first. I did think about using a cream wool blanket that came from Mum's house but then I thought it would just become a huge cozy cat bed and always be covered in cat hair!
Bore da, off to the Breacon Beacons very shortly.

@Mrs_Salad_Dodger "Excellent work decluttering your pantry shelves suzeesu2000 👏 So neat & tidy now 🤩 I did notice that ‘someone’ obviously loves HP brown sauce 😉"Funny you should mention it, my Dfriend who popped in while I was doing it, noticed as well. I buy when on offer and DH does like it, for me its only suitable with a bacon buttie. All I've decluttered today is the whites for a hot wash. Weather hasn't made its mind up yet so didn't want to chance the big colours wash. Have put the litte bits on the line but everything else on airer. Should be dry by the morning as its quite warm still. The ironing will be dealt with immediately - not going down that rabbit hole again!Everyone is doing really well, this group is so friendly and supportive.Have a Great Monday all xx

Monday: not a great start to changing my sleep patterns 🙁 Although I might not have gone to bed at 03:30, I did fall asleep for 1.5 hours & then went to bed. Woke up at 12:45 having had 2 bathroom visits during the night. Technically I suppose that means I had 9 hours sleep 😉 It was very dark outside as a prelude to the heavens opening up at 12:56 but then closing exactly 2 minutes later at 12:58. Forecast a high of 20°C, low 16°C, humidity 67% but no more rain. Of course now the sun is out 🤷♀️
BlueJ94, I completely forgot about rosé 😉 Well done decluttering the make up 👏 You are on a roll 🙂
MadamMim2013, fingers crossed that your mum’s dental appointment goes well & is pain free🤞+ all future appointments go the same way 🙏 Hopefully you will find time to drop off the the bag & the box of jigsaws at the CS 🤞 Have a lovely week 😊
vulpix, hope you have a lovely time in the Brecon Beacons & that the weather is kind 🤞 You never know you might discover a CS in a nearby town & find just the right fabric for the bench 😉
suzeesu2000, I agree with you - HP brown sauce is Only for bacon butties! Fingers crossed that the rain stays away long enough for the whites to dry 🤞 Good luck with the ironing 🍀
Today is another 800kcal day for DH so he has a stir fry for his lunch & when he goes for his walk he will be picking up something for his evening meal. Would you believe the sun is now out & the dark clouds have vanished. Hope everyone has a great day 😊 See you later 👋

We have been toying with letting out our aunts house as she is in a care home. We had people staying informally this weekend. I brought the washing and rubbish home as it’s easier to put it in our bin than try to get to her house to put the bin out and bring it back in. I pulled out the recycling, some bread still in its bag and some apples. Bread and apples decluttered to the front lawn for the birds. A magpie turned up but hopefully the pigeons and other birds will get some. It’s been such a dry year we have been really worried for the wildlife. We have a bird bath and a bug bath and feeders but I still worry. On a brighter note I had to go to some safeguarding training in Wisbech so popped into Peckover House in town. Its national trust and we would normally have to pay but it was free to go into the garden today. So lovely. We decluttered some money on a hot chocolate and cheese scone.10

@Mrs_Salad_Dodger please choose to not answer the question, but how is it that you go to sleep so late and wake up later on in the day? Is it just a routine or you're just naturally more awake through the night? Ive always been curious!
