Good afternoon (it was meant to be good morning but I got distracted and painted the walls of the staircase instead). Things out the latter part of this week were 10 on Thursday, 5 on Friday and 5 yesterday. I'm being careful because I don't have time to do a charity shop run before we go on holiday and our neighbour will be in and out minding the cat so I want to leave everywhere tidy.
Lovely swan photos @Dizzycap. I didn't know that about silver foxes but that probably explains why we stopped seeing it - we were feeding it plenty so maybe it changed colour.
Our house is ex council stock so we only get council estate starlings in our garden 🤣 The babies just now are like floofy brown tennis balls with wings and a beak. There were seven of them trundling around our garden this morning. They seem to eat non-stop, no wonder adult starlings are always looking for food! The babies also had a lovely time playing in our solar fountain. I did have a bit of a heart stopping moment when one of them came strolling across the patio towards our cat but luckily it changed it's mind at the last minute. The cat is a bit scared of them anyway and runs indoors if they start screeching.17 -

Just stopping by to post this photo of these trees that are growing together as I am having a complete day off today and am out enjoying the sunshine ☀️
Edit: I did slightly lose it yesterday when I asked DS to tidy his room (floor has to be clear once a week to allow for it to be cleaned) so many times and he continued to ignore me. I picked up a massive box and took away everything that was on the floor and have removed the box. Problem solved. He was not happy, but actually he doesn’t seem to have missed any of it yet.2025 decluttering: 3,324🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

Lovely photo @QueenJess hope you've decluttered all your stress.
@Floss and @Brie love the dust bunnies and bats... think I have some possibly even dust bears1
Popping in to try and make myself accountable to finish and send a frog email which has been hanging around for too long.
Plumber seems to have been successful fingers crossed.

oceanspirit - thanks for the info - will do in future - I didn't know.
Church this morning - we went a bit earlier as I had a lot to do before the service.
I worked on the curtain tie backs and cut cushion covers this morning.
Grandson and granddaughter called round to collect the frog trousers.
This afternoon I worked on the cushion covers - a lovely peacock in the design so I was trying to get it central or as near as possible.
Miffed with a local Pizza delivery place - I placed a big order and gave instructions for delivery and stressed that it was to be anonymous. I have had a thank you from where it was delivered.

Neighbour has done an amazing job with my front garden.

Phew, email frog with 9 attachments sent - not sure I will get any joy but a long standing issue which I feel strongly about.
Haven't finished tidying after the plumber or from my DIY sort out but tired. Working at home tomorrow so can use my commuting time to try and sort things out abit.
Sounds like many people tired so wishing everyone as peaceful a sleep as possible and as good a start to the week as possible.17 -
I don’t know how it has been so long since I’ve posted but somehow it is May and I last was here in February!
I’ve caught up on the very many pages I have missed!
We still haven’t moved but hopefully we aren’t too far away, we absolutely have to be in by July. DS3 got a place at a new school for the move, it isn’t close to where we’ll be as I hadn’t looked at schools in the vicinity of the new house as I thought we’d be about 2 miles away but never mind, I’ll have to drive him instead! I think the school is a good fit for him, even if it isn’t local, especially since he got an ADHD diagnosis three weeks ago, this came as a surprise to absolutely no one but it has taken ages to get it.
DS1 seems to be managing well at secondary school, so fingers crossed DD manages to get a place there when we start applying in the Autumn term for secondary school’s.
I’ve been pottering along with the decluttering as we try and pack up the house. For March and April, I managed –
6 bags to the local freebies site
2 bags of books to the primary school library
6 bags of books to the hospital bookshop
1 bag of fabric recycling
the equivalent of 6 bags to the tip
6 bags of soft toys to our local church for a tombola they are having at the end of May
1.5 bags to Oxfam by post
2 bags of school uniform to the school
2 bags of uniform and books to the nursery
This makes 33.5 bags, which seems much more than I thought when I write it all down!
So my new total is 45.5/104
We have so much more stuff that has to go before we move as we are moving to a smaller house and we have so much stuff! I’m trying to be ruthless but find emotional attachment’s to the most random things! I also find getting rid of the children’s books quite tough as I love the fact that they love to read but we can manage with more library books in the mean time.
I’ve been away for such a while, was there a London meet up in the end that I missed?
Love to everyone xxx

Hi all,, another warm day here. I went to the footy but around the match 4 LDFPA 😁, more towel sorting so hopefully some will go out tomorrow to the animal rescue. New toilet seat fitted, which was much harder than I thought it would be with some complicated fittings and was in danger of becoming a frog so old one to the bin and a cardboard box to the recycling which I just managed to squeeze in the wheelie bin, emptied on Tuesday so I will just have to hang on to anything else until then 😁. Lr bin emptied. I also called in to the sm on my way to the game as we had nearly run out of washing powder 😂.
@Mrs SD don't worry I know people only chuckled about my escapades as I was unhurt 😁. I had a bit of a chuckle myself to be honest, if you can't laugh at yourself who can you laugh at 😂. I only mentioned the bruising to reassure people I was ok 😁.
@QueenJess Lovely photo, glad you are taking a bit of time to enjoy the nice weather 😁
Tomorrow I have promised to help ln do her hanging baskets and I am out for my tea with ex colleagues and hopefully decluttering 2 bin bags of plastic containers and a bin bag of plastic plant pots 😁
Right off to bed now. Hugs to everyone who would like one
