I did find a very easy YT video earlier about a weekly cleaning routine breaking it up into 5 tasks. I can't remember what order it was in but Monday to Friday, one day dust, one day vacuum, one day mop floors, one day clean bathroom, one day clean kitchen. That seems straightforward enough. I will watch the TOMM videos too.
The usual things I do everyday are wiping down kitchen counters, do a load of laundry, change cat litter tray, empty bins and recycling so adding one of the five tasks each day should be doable.2025 GOALS

I've had a sort in my bin shed today, and did a tip run. I've got rid of some remains of paint I've no intention of using, plastic packets & some odds & end. Soft plastics went to Tesco on the way.
I also sent off a Vinted package (sold my Kindle Fire as I got a bargain tablet last month) & picked up a package for me (felt case for new tablet!).
I'm waiting for some lovely pink rhubarb to roast to have in yogurt for my breakfasts, the oven is also full of red peppers as I snaffled a big bag of huge ones at Costco yesterday, so will make soup with them & some overripe tomatoes that are also roasting.
I also finally finished unpacking my case after getting home from holiday on 21st January 🤭 but in my defence I had done my laundry the next day!2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

- Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
- Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Having gone to bed so late, I woke up at 08:45 for a bathroom visit & decided to get up & dressed. The frost was still thick on the ground & there is still a light dusting at the front of the house (north facing) at 11:15. The sun is out so the back garden just looks damp rather than frosty. I have become engrossed in reading my book so have fallen further behind with the cheerleading 😔
Lovely cheerleading daisy_1571 😊 Happy birthday Month 😉
Soontobeoap, sorry to hear about the black mould 😔 but absolutely no need to feel ashamed ‘wagging finger emoji’ You have spotted it now & are sorting it out 👏 Good luck with your February Challenge of sorting out your crafting stash 🍀 & well done on keeping your cleared areas clutter free 👏
Excellent work with the bulky waste collections Wednesday2000 👏
florianatwobob, thanks for the info 👏
Well said daisy_1571 😊
Muddy_Walker, I skipped ahead & found this post from basketcase “*waving finger emoji*You are not, repeat NOT, an "imposter". Hospitals, indeed all health professionals, are there to stop you joining the "many many people who are worse off" than you. And they've caught you early enough to do that.I hope I don't sound rude or preachy - it's more a reminder of something you know really, but is easily forgotten when you're feeling fed up/not wanting to feel a fusspot.I do understand where you're coming from (in fact, I'd probably feel the same), but I bet they'd be delighted if all the patients they saw were at the small or stage 1 level.I think @Soontobeoap had some great suggestions for keeping your mind occupied while your body rests and recuperates. My only problem if I were in that position would be that I'd keep thinking "I'm not really ill. I could do more than this". It's hard. (OK, confession time. I have been in that position and done that.😳 Sometimes I got lucky, sometimes it set my recovery back...)” which I echo wholeheartedly.
Soontobeoap, excellent advice for Muddy_Walker 👏
Florenceem, another busy day yesterday 👏 Shame about the slippers not fitting especially as they took so long to arrive 😔 So very sorry to hear about the loss of another member of the Corps 😢 Condolences to her family & friends.
Blue_Doggy, fully recovered thank you 👏
I think I should post this just to show willing 😉 I hope that everyone has had as good a day as possible. Cwtches for everyone 🤗

basketcase, This “In fact, if you’d looked back you might have noticed a handcar with someone furiously pumping away like in a silent film. That was me!” had me in stitches 🤣 & brought to mind the Keystone Cops 😉 although I promise we weren’t shooting at you 😉 A lovely supportive & empathetic post 🥹 Very pleased to hear that your ‘mojo’ has returned 🙂 even though you had to resort to bribery 😉😉 Firstly well done on “decluttering your brain” 👏 Excellent decluttering all round what with dealing with frogs, physical & digital decluttering + being so successful with NSDs & managing to do all that whilst being in a “handcar ……….. furiously pumping away” 😊 In fact I am so impressed that I am sending you a Gold Star ⭐️ + another slice of lemon drizzle cake to share with Mr Mojo 🙂 Re the dental work - £175 for an hour with the hygienist & £73.50 for the dentist as I had 3 fillings 😔 I am sending you 💐 for such a wonderful response to Muddy_Walker 🥹 You might have noticed that I quoted you in my previous post 😉

@Florenceem - I bought my Dad’s Velcro-fastening slippers online from M&S, and they open right up. I think Hotter may sell them too.13

Thanks @Liverpool_Anne I will rescue the bulbs and put them somewhere. They must be daffodils, but can't for the life of me remember buying them!I've decided to try and count things in and out this month, but will ignore birthday presents (there are 2 birthdays this month), the stuff the kids buy with their own money and paperwork otherwise it won't represent a normal month/could be overwhelming.A few more bits to declare today as I've been trying to review a few photos everyday. I've also started one bigger frog of deciding where some frames should go on the wall that I got for Xmas from DH to display the kids artwork (the fancy ones that you can store loads in and open up the front and change the picture). We've currently got paper stuck to the wall so we can decide if it looks right before they go up and then I can finally sort out the piles of colouring and drawings everywhere!Digital:

@vulpix and@Muddy-Walker, sending you both hugs and best wishes for a lasting recovery. @Muddy_Walker, rest and rest again . Vulpix , I hope you get lots of physio to get you back to where you were before this happened.
@Florenceem, hugs and hoping that MrF’s progress continues.xx15 -
Evening, I had some unexpected decluttering success today
DD1 and DD2 were visiting for the afternoon so I went through 2 drawers of DD2's old clothes with her and she only wanted to keep about 6 items so I filled up 2 x bags for the CS. I returned a top to DD1 plus she took 2 x toys to try to sell and 3 x glass candlesticks that I don't want!
I have also unpacked my case at last!

@Mrs_Salad_Dodger
a 💐, a ⭐ and a slice of lemon drizzle cake! I'm really spoiled - and definitely embarrassed (she writes, delicately dabbing lemon flavoured crumbs with a damask napkin. The TLC carriage has everything!)
I thought Harold Lloyd for the handcar, but the Keystone Cops is even better! 🤣
Hope everyone's as well as possible and has had a good weekend.General decluttering:
Fairly quiet on the decluttering front. A couple of loads of washing, dealt with an Admin Tadpole re my fuel bill (due to switching banks), and all lunches and evening meals have been from leftovers, pantry or freezer. Plus 1 bag recycling to bin. So that and the laundry bag means I'm up-to-date with my Containers.
I'm decluttering my Email Inbox as I go - but I'm not counting that as it's maintenance.
NSDs
Saturday was a NSD and today nearly was but... I'm at an AGM next Saturday and had to pay for lunch a the hotel. I could just go to the meeting and lecture, but it's in an hotel over 100 miles away so I'd be driving over lunchtime to get there for 2pm. Afterwards I'll be driving a further 30 miles to stay overnight with DD. Also to take down her skis, contact lenses and a small pile of 'stuff'. So all that and decluttering too!
TOTALS
February– NSDs = 1/15. Containers = 2/28. Frogs = 1
A budget is like a speed sign - a LIMIT not a TARGET!!
CHALLENGES

Soontobeoap said:@ basketcase your offer of yarn is extremely kind. I could always use your yarn if @Florenceem doesn't want it all. I run a craft group at the local community club which is a charity in a diverse area encouraging sessions for the whole community. I can help you declutter and take it straight to club so that it won't be adding to mine! 🤣 Message me if @ florenceem declines your amazing offer. Happy to pay your postage.
It was actually @vulpix I offered the yarn to. I've not heard back yet but I'll let you know. You're certainly welcome to any that she doesn't want. There's a couple of boxes full and, as I said, lots of different colours so plenty to go round!A budget is like a speed sign - a LIMIT not a TARGET!!
