What happens if you go to Google Chrome, settings, search engine. If Yahoo is listed there you can get rid of it.

Chrome is listed. So it's definitely some nasty corruption by malware.

Just tried Brave and it's working ok, I can google search there. I wonder if Chrome needs uninstalled and then a fresh install.

If you scanned and removed what looks suspicious 

Check your installed programmes, it could of installed a program 

Re install your browser 

Use Norton for last scan

1. I find the Brave Browser better than Google Chrome Browser. Why not uninstall Google Chrome & keep using the Brave Browser?
