Good evening everyone,
I've just blown my coupons out of the water. I've finished my blanket. Around two kilos of wool. However one kilo was gifted last year as a Christmas present. One kilo of 100% wool is 40 coupons.66,000 stitches.I am very pleased with it. Only annoying thing that I didn't realise until I finished it was that the some of the extra balls of wool that I bought at the end must have come from a different batch is a slightly different tone so it looks like there are some stripes. Hopefully this will fade with time.

The blanket looks wonderful @Gem-gem. I am really impressed. My largest crocheted blankets are about 2/3 that size. Made them for my own bed and for most of my relatives while waiting for people at doctor's appointments. It is very time-consuming as well as yarn consuming.8

66,000 stitches- my word!!! That’s a lot of work- and beautifully even at that… well done!
I went to look at that odd post of mine and where I had typed the ‘at’ symbol to tag a name, I had accidentally typed it twice. I removed one, so maybe it’s now visible properly? Deeply mysterious…!2025 remaining: 37 coupons from 66:

I can see all your post now @Laura_Elsewhere, thanks! Great that you finished a project in such a short time - pics please!Laura_Elsewhere said:Human hair is notoriously difficult to knot! With practice you could possibly fuse the knot by holding a blown-out match near it for heat, but tbh, just try anything and everything!!No pics yet- will get some tomorrow- but I am wearing on Sunday the frock I cut out on Tuesday
it’s the 1929 petticoat pattern I used last year with heavy red linen, but this time with olive-green-and-cream cotton needlecord from @thriftwizard a few years back! I am very pleased and it looks nicely autumnal.
also, a man in Tesco came up and told me how much he liked my outfit and how nice it looked
