I've not had any problems with the online system, not aware of any changes since I registered in August 2022. I also currently do minimum funding (£25 pcm). Rate is currently an unexciting 4.40% variable. The account is still available to open. It has the advantage of a high monthly deposit limit (£1000).Kim_13 said:
That's one online access I don't have any more, as when I tried to log in previously texts didn't arrive and I would have been blocked had I kept trying. Not sure if the online system has changed in the past few years though and I could safely re-register?Hattie627 said:Staffordshire Building Society RS Issue 1
For those still holding this unlimited-in-time RS, annual interest is due to be credited to accounts today (31st October). Not showing yet, probably tomorrow but dated today.
Not a big deal either way, it's been kept alive with minimum funding (balance tracked on an app from last passbook update) so the interest won't be much and I leave a gap in my spreadsheet and fill in when my passbook has been updated following a withdrawal. I use it to fund occasional purchases that are a bit of a splurge.0 -
Skipton BS withdrawal query
Do Skipton process withdrawals to external accounts on weekends please?0 -
Monmouthshire BS
I have 3 Monmouthshire Regular Savers (Issue 8, App Exclusive and "Branch" Exclusive).
I also have a Monmouthshire Instant Saver Issue 4.
Has anyone here tried funding Monmouthshire Regular Savers from the Monmouthshire Instant Saver Issue 4?
Because if they allow it that would simplify my bank transfers this weekend.
It may seem an odd question as to whether internal transfers are allowed, but I have had money returned before from other BS such as Chorley as they don't allow (some of?) their RS to be funded from anything other than the external linked bank account.

They don't even process internal transfers on weekends/non-working days. I think the cut-off for transactions on a working day is 8pm, and anything after that will be processed at the start of business on the next working day.4 -
It’s allowed, I did the regular version to the Exclusive version by internal transfer on occasion in 2023/4 when I was short of funds. The question is rather whether the transfer will fall over, given that anything sent to the Instant Saver today is unlikely to show until Monday in the app, and even later online, given they are slower than average to process. When I funded by internal transfer, my balances were up to date before I started.mon3ysav3r said:Monmouthshire BS

Closed my YBS Xmas 2025 RS today as it had reached it's maturity date.
Funds expected by close tomorrow to an external account.0 -
My Newcastle Regular Saver has matured, it's now an Easy Saver Issue 5
£2.41 total, £1.41 interest, yay 😊😁
I've checked account details in app it's coming up with 2% Annual which is what I thought it would be, so that email still baffles me but hey ho.
Guess I'll get the interest out and leave £1 in.
Edit: got my interest paid into my Virgin account earlier, transferred to my Santander Edge Saver0 -
Any advantage to closing this today and not letting it mature to online easy access savings account tomorrow?gt94sss2 said:Closed my YBS Xmas 2025 RS today as it had reached it's maturity date.

I received an email from YBS that my Xmas Saver 2025 will mature on 1 Nov, though I can see interest £27.1 credited to the RS today.0 -

I wouldn't have waited for 11 days to replay to a missed call. That makes a bit difficult to complain against the bank for missing out on this month funding ...bristolleedsfan said:Scottish BS
