Scottish Building Society: Managing your savings accountPaying money into your savings accountYou can make deposits into your savings account in any of our Relationship Centres by cash or cheque, by post (cheques only), by electronic transfer from your nominated UK bank account . You can also pay money in using an eligible debit card. Please note debit card payments are capped at £1,000.
Can anyone shed light on what is "an eligible debit card" mean please? Thanks.0 -
To the person talking about Santander Edge things, it's nothing to be majorly concerned about yet (if ever), I've also received an email from Santander:
So basically all that means is that they've launched a new Edge account and if you have that account you can also have an Edge Saver.
But defo get a new Edge Saver as 4%is poor0 -

Principality BSI decided to record step-by-step what I always done with renewing accounts. Never had a rejection yet (5x successful renewals so far with this one pending) and I always done the same. Never had an automated sent message created as well. This was all done at around 6:00 PM on Monday 13/10/2025 using a laptop.1. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1vp_I80WjmRvi-KYtX1SAk9RytcZ8rfX5/view - click on "Your maturity options".2. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ArpRVtJZLoy2HJiBg0iW9TnO3Bns9U0J/view - select option 2.3. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1S31k9AsxFeRUKIRCx246hAbA0jLvGF-b/view - select 6 Month Regular Saver and enter £200.00.4. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1bhQP7BCfpszak6WKZPm2AnFFzPKou6xz/view - I actually click on "View Summary Box" before clicking "Continue".5. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1aQ7hHBXZr_TTpebp0mlJBE-bpjyqPJCP/view - tick everything and "Continue".6. https://drive.google.com/file/d/14_lbhRWeJZL-KS_1G1FCcjunP0PgzfHs/view - select "By electronic transfer" and enter details of my external account. Leave "Reference" empty.7. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1DIB28dSz8DYDUUKOKDSCeWxlx8EOPntD/view - confirmation of payee details match.8. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1uP9jsX9rbqUDj7i4xA_UVQiX68b7oHQC/view - confirmation of details.9. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1VDQbn7uGRr6bwhkXgskTTTmED4u16nB8/view - confirmation of submitted instruction.10. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_7xk9E43R26MAUmi_joi6hWhuY9Zfhxc/view - account now shows confirmed maturity instructions. As mentioned - this approach is yet to fail me but, obviously, your experience may vary.
Was not wearing a green shirt.

OneEdge Saver (6% for a yr) for each current account (1 single and 2 for joint). Only downside is the £3 mthly fee for each current account, but if you have some SOs in there it compensatesGiven that the essence of a Regular Saver is regular deposits, the Edge saver is anything but a Regular Saver.Nor is is being described or marketed as a Regular Saver by Santander.Nobody has yet described the Cahoot Sunny Day Savers or similar offerings as Regular Savers, even though they have very similar characteristics as the Edge saver, and long may this thread be reserved for true Regular Savers.
You could always use the Edge as Regular Saver if you wanted?
In your defence however, I do think the criticism should have been directed at Castle 96, who appears to have initiated the Edge discussion.
At no point have I said the Edge Saver is a Regular Saver. All I said was it has some of the characteristics of a regular saver, which it does.I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?0 -

I would say the Santander Edge Saver would be better off being discussed in The New Top Easy Access Savings Discussion Area thread instead of this one.
I'll add that I don't mind it being mentioned briefly in passing but would rather people not discuss it at length in this thread.28
