Been quiet on the RS front recently. Nothing great being released...

In the weeks when it does go quiet its a good opportunity to make sure the Google/Excel charts are up to date and to see what will mature in the next month or 2 to see if you have enough cash flow to supply all of the regular savers. I've also been rejigging some ISAs.
It does seem to come in waves - great activity and excitement and then nothing for weeks ....

Just received my SBS pack in the mail. The passbook shows 10th October for the cheque deposit. My Nationwide a/c has no indication that the cheque has been presented yet.

Sent my cheque off last Thursday, in 2nd class envelope provided. Sent them an email this morning to see if they received it. Replied that account was funded yesterday and welcome pack on route.
Cheque must not have cleared yet though as cash is still there.

I opened a progressive account last night had to verify account with passport photo and NHS number....within in hour accepted and first 200 put in
How would your NHS number verify your ID? Do non-NHS organisations have access to it?
Maybe with the proposed Digital ID but I think they meant their Nat Ins number.

    Nationwide RS
Might need to free up some funds by end of month, my Nationwide RS is due to mature next month so i was going to refresh it.
Is it usually the day after closure request that a new RS can be opened?
Not for me it wasn't. Mine had already been converted to an Instant Access Saver 10 when I got this

I’ve opened a Progressive rainy day saver, and as part of the opening process I funded the account via debit card transfer, or so I thought. This was at 10am this morning and the funds still haven’t transferred in.

I guess I’ll wait until tomorrow and follow up.

YBS First Home eSaver 4.7%A, £500 a month, 2 years

Does anyone know if YBS do any checks on being a first home buyer ?  Or any other non-compliance ?

In the product details there is the following sentence :

'If you're not saving for your first home, we can transfer your money to an online easy access savings account.'

which I take to be a possible severe consequence should anyone not comply.

They did not appear to do so for me.

Not specific to Progressive but debit card deposits will generally take 2 or 3 working days to credit an account.

I had this on the day the account was converted, but was able to open the new one next day.
