Suffolk BS to launch new versions of their 1 Year Fixed Rate Regular Saver and Online Fixed Rate Regular Savers on Monday 8th September.

It doesn't appear there's any difference in the Ts&Cs compared to the current issues with the exception that the new versions mature on 30/11/26 and both accounts are set to pay 5%.

I shall update P1 of this thread and the archived thread once the accounts have been launched.
When you say the same T&Cs, does that mean the pay-in limits will be £250 PM for the online, and £500 PM for the branch/passbook ones?

(Thanks so much for your hard work btw!!! Seemed rude to quote you without thanking 🙏)

That's what moneyfacts appears to be saying. Full terms shall no doubt appear on Suffolk BS's website at some point on Monday morning.

The app is still unusable for me - it’s been updated to the latest version and reinstalled numerous times. I had to phone Monmouth to open the new app only saver.

Are anybody else having problems with the Monbs app please.
Been just stuck on the intro screen since 8ish last night.

I am in the exact same position. It took some persuading but I did manage to get an app only RS opened with a  phone call.

Despite numerous un- and re-installs, trying to persuade it I was registering a new number etc., the app still refuses to play nice.

Practical upshot is that I have an open app-only account which I can't check because of a completely non-functioning app.

Last person I spoke to told me that the tech team were 'aware' of the issues and were working on a fix. In the meantime Ihave been advised to 'sit tight and wait'
It is App only to apply for, but after it is open you can view and transact online.

    HSBC RS Maturity

Anyone had a Regular Saver mature into an existing Flex Saver recently?

If so, can you please confirm the timeframe from the maturity date for funds to be accessible in practice?

    Thank you

IIRC for the regular saver I had in 2022-3 I opened mine on 6th of the month and the funds were available for me to transfer out on 6th of the month it matured.

Good question. Mine matures on the 10 September, so I will find out then. Did have a letter from HSBC about the new account too. Paltry rate.

I know it is not the same group, but my Lloyds one converted into an Everyday Saver today, date of maturity. Funds extracted and ES closed, all within minutes.

Regarding Principality and the new six month issue 4

Just set up the new accounts and also done the maturity instructions for the previous incarnations maturing this month. I noticed that I still have regular saver 35, two of them and a regular saver issue 36 both of which have variable rates due to drop on September 18th.
If I close these accounts before the end of September it will release funds to go into the general pot to fund next months regular savers on October 1st, also simplify the list and that £750 can go instead into the new Principality 6 month issue 4 and/or Monmouthshire regular savers.
MY OH has similar, an issue 35 and 36 - he is now over his PSA limit for HMRC purposes but both of these regular savers mature in this tax year anyway. And better to have this money earning 7.50% for the second part of this year than 4.85%
The Principality triple access could do with closing as well but I am dithering as these for no good reason.

I got fed up of the clutter of closed accounts on the online home page and I asked via SM to clear them if possible. There's a wheel shaped button next to Add an account which you can use to do it yourself - and recover them if needed. Never knew that! So if anybody else needs to know.......

Shame they still show in the app and there doesn’t appear to be a way of hiding them in the app.

I've just gone through my MBS closed accounts that show in the app and it seems to be the ones that I never added to online banking, I had 2 regular savers from 2023 which they sent the account details to the wrong address so these never got added to online banking but show in the app, there was also a limited access account which I applied for speculatively but they announced a rate cut before I funded so I never funded the account or added it to online banking, again this shows in the app but not online banking.

None of my other closed MBS accounts (which I've had hidden in online banking for a while) show in the app.

I've just tried adding these accounts that show in the app to online banking and set one of my other closed accounts to show in online banking as an experiment. If in a few days the other accounts have been added to online banking and the account I've just set to show in online banking appears in the app then there could be a workaround.

It may just be a coincidence on my part but it's worth a shot I suppose.
