I got fed up of the clutter of closed accounts on the online home page and I asked via SM to clear them if possible. There's a wheel shaped button next to Add an account which you can use to do it yourself - and recover them if needed. Never knew that! So if anybody else needs to know.......

Regarding Principality and the new six month issue 4
Just set up the new accounts and also done the maturity instructions for the previous incarnations maturing this month. I noticed that I still have regular saver 35, two of them and a regular saver issue 36 both of which have variable rates due to drop on September 18th.
If I close these accounts before the end of September it will release funds to go into the general pot to fund next months regular savers on October 1st, also simplify the list and that £750 can go instead into the new Principality 6 month issue 4 and/or Monmouthshire regular savers.
MY OH has similar, an issue 35 and 36 - he is now over his PSA limit for HMRC purposes but both of these regular savers mature in this tax year anyway. And better to have this money earning 7.50% for the second part of this year than 4.85%
The Principality triple access could do with closing as well but I am dithering as these for no good reason.“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
Shame they still show in the app and there doesn’t appear to be a way of hiding them in the app.schiff said:

I've just gone through my MBS closed accounts that show in the app and it seems to be the ones that I never added to online banking, I had 2 regular savers from 2023 which they sent the account details to the wrong address so these never got added to online banking but show in the app, there was also a limited access account which I applied for speculatively but they announced a rate cut before I funded so I never funded the account or added it to online banking, again this shows in the app but not online banking.Stargunner said:

None of my other closed MBS accounts (which I've had hidden in online banking for a while) show in the app.
I've just tried adding these accounts that show in the app to online banking and set one of my other closed accounts to show in online banking as an experiment. If in a few days the other accounts have been added to online banking and the account I've just set to show in online banking appears in the app then there could be a workaround.
It may just be a coincidence on my part but it's worth a shot I suppose.3 -
I don’t think that will work, as I have a closed account that i have hidden in online banking, but it still shows in the app.Bridlington1 said:

Issue 36 is fixed rate and I'm pretty sure issue 35 is too.mhoc said:Regarding Principality and the new six month issue 4

I can confirm that Principality Issue 35 (£250 per month, 5.15%) is a fixed rate. Mine is set to mature on the 19th January

And off the top of my head this was also the case for the following PBS regular savers that I've held at various points since 2022:CricketLady said:I can confirm that Principality Issue 35 (£250 per month, 5.15%) is a fixed rate. Mine is set to mature on the 19th January
