My principality 6 month RS matured today. I asked for a new one to be set up so £200 has been moved there. I am unable to see what account the remaining 1231.79 has been paid too? Yes I know I should have taken a note of my instructions but I assumed I would get an email confirmation.

Is there normally a delay on the funds transfer if I chose for it to be paid to another bank?

Your money will appear in your nominated account today.  I had two Principality accounts mature on 16th and had the money on the 17th. 'New' accounts opened immediately.

    Mine arrived around 16.00pm.
    So don’t panic yet.
Because deposits & payments go via Barclays Bank if I remember correctly, it takes longer.

No, happens on maturity date. Think my last one showed around 10am?

Annoyingly, Principality send me a letter inviting me to choose options for my maturing account (with summary leaflets for each optional new account apart from the one I actually want to choose), another confirming my choice, and a third after the event confirming it's happened. This latter, at least, has the bank account funds were transferred to.

If you've found the secret to turning this paper deluge off please let us know.

I only got the letter to choose options at the tail end of last week, good old Royal Mail…. No doubt I will get the other 2 letters next week at some point

    Saffron

Just had an email from Saffron - which initially looked a bit scammy - that included a "Refer a Friend link" I've been invited to send to an eligible friend to eventually get a £15 book token.

Of note, the email clearly states "Your friend must be a new saffron customer to be eligible to open the account. Existing members do not qualify."  (T&C's apply)

[Edit for clarity:  Posted to highlight the (now) clear eligibility requirements for the account, not seeking anyone to refer.]
After applying for the Saffron 8% RS without the refer a friend bunk, Saffron stated they didn't have my phone number or email addy, which I know they have because I have another account with them and it was also included in the application - I didn't bother faffing about to chase it up! Today I receive both an email  & phone call from Saffron and they were only too happy to open the 8% RS as an existing customer without the refer a friend bunk. Opened and funded witin 2 minutes.

Do you know whether they gave you the 'Refer a Friend Saver' or the 'Member's Month Loyalty Saver'? I'm struggling to understand what is meant by 'without the refer a friend bunk' - whether this means it was the one that didn't require referrals, or whether they waived the referral requirement.
