I made a £250 transfer to my Virgin Money Regular Saver Exclusive account on Saturday afternoon. Strangely it is still showing as "Pending" on the Virgin Money app. Last month and other times I have made a transfer on a non-working day, it has normally processed by the next working day in the morning. Yes, same with my deposit. Sent at 8 am. Saturday was "Pending" until just after 5 today.

Yes, I logged on their app Saturday 1st to do an internal transfer (as I do every month) and this time it came up with a full screen warning message saying transfer won't be made until the next working day.

I continued anyway and could see the funds left the current account and credited the regular saver, yet checking back today it shows transaction date as Monday 3rd.

Looking back through previous months, it always seems to do that, so may as well change that to a standing order instead.

Another slow one this month was NatWest interest which only appeared this morning, despite saying credited yesterday.

Virgin app is really doing my head in with that extra screen, never used to do it, every transaction at weekend wether internal or external *SIGH*

Which is exactly why I have diverted full monthly subscriptions of £250 (interest) into my Lloyds RS @ a fixed rate of 5.25%

Didn't we know that the 5.45% rate wouldn't last long at YBS

I have just applied fir this account. The impending rate drop is prominently highlighted. They couldn’t have made it any clearer.

Just a reminder that the Co-operative Bank Regular Saver at 7% is still available and we are now 30 days from the start of the new tax year. 

Given that the Co-op regular saver matures and pays interest on the anniversary of you making your first deposit, if you apply for the account now it is now possible to push the payment of its interest into the 2026-27 tax year, which may be useful for some.

Seems they are going to convert previous issues to the issue 5 on 6th March (I just got an email about it for my issue 3).

Those fortunate enough to have multiple issues of the Principality BS First Home Steps RS may want to check that Principality have correctly merged their accounts.

It seems that as well as merging all the previous issues into a issue 5 as previously communicated, they also merged any other issue 5 account that you already had open which they hadn't notified you about as "you can only have one issue 5 account".

This means that if your balance exceeds 50k in the merged account, you can't continue to contribute to Issue 5 even though the reason you would have had two of the same issue is solely down to PBS's decision to merge issues.. 

I suspect I will have to log a complaint to get this resolved..

If your only reason for having the Club Lloyds current account is access to the Club Lloyds RS: you only need to have the CL current account at the time of applying for the CL RS. 

Once your CL RS is open, you can immediately downgrade your CL current account to the fee-free Classic account. All doable in minutes, and does not affect the operation or interest rate of the CL RS.
