    Virgin Money Regular Saver Exclusive

I made a £250 transfer to my Virgin Money Regular Saver Exclusive account on Saturday afternoon. Strangely it is still showing as "Pending" on the Virgin Money app. Last month and other times I have made a transfer on a non-working day, it has normally processed by the next working day in the morning. Anyone else having the same issue this month?
Yes, same with my deposit. Sent at 8 am. Saturday was "Pending" until just after 5 today.
    Virgin

Yes, I logged on their app Saturday 1st to do an internal transfer (as I do every month) and this time it came up with a full screen warning message saying transfer won't be made until the next working day.

I continued anyway and could see the funds left the current account and credited the regular saver, yet checking back today it shows transaction date as Monday 3rd.

Looking back through previous months, it always seems to do that, so may as well change that to a standing order instead.

Another slow one this month was NatWest interest which only appeared this morning, despite saying credited yesterday.

NatWest interest doesn’t show until the 2nd working day every month.

So if you want to avoid getting interest there for this tax year you would start to fund on the 2nd of April or could you already put funds in (interest payment in May) from the 1st of April?

The interest is paid on the second working day of the month backdated to the first. So funding from the 2nd April should be fine, as the 1st and 2nd are working days. Interest shows in the early hours so presumably would have already been done by the time your funds hit the account.

Would it matter, as you can only fund it with a max of  £150, so the monthly interest would be less than £1

    edit. less than 3p

With the 5 x round up feature Natwest and RBS provide the 5k balance is achieved rather quick.

99 x 0.01 payments with Paypal F&F (high risk!) with 5 x round up feature enabled would be £490.05 per day.  The account would be at the 5k level after 10 days. Counting weekends and how long it takes to collect and add funds, it would be 3 weeks or even less if you are very committed and a risk taker.

But you were only concerned about starting to fund it on the 1st, which may cause you to pay the interest this tax year, so even if you went to those extremes, the interest on another £500 for one day is still less than £1

    Co-op Regular Saver application

I also submitted my application on maturity date Saturday 1st Mar and received an application received e-mail later.
I sent secure message for an update on Monday 3rd Mar. Reply received on 4th Mar that they can't find my application. So I sent the application received email via secure messaging.
Reply on 5th Mar stated that they have "an uncompleted application in my name" suggesting me to reapply online or personal banker to call me towards the application.
I do not understand how can there be an uncompleted application as it sounds that all the info that I entered are not transferred but just blank?

I applied on 27th Feb, the account was opened on 4th March, so it was 3 working days for the account to be opened.  It was about the same number of days last year. It's not immediate with Co-op.
My guess would be that your application is still in the process of opening.

My Co-op reg saver matured on the 27th and thanks @savethepandas for informing me that his account was open given there was no correspondence from Co-op. I left £250 in the smart saver ready to transfer over and was able to fund it yesterday, and have subsequently received email confirmation this morning.
My question is that I tried to set up a standing order from my Halifax account to start in April but it failed the COP check yesterday and again this morning. I have set up a standing order anyway for £1 to test it out next month. Is anyone aware of any idiosynchracies with this? I used my name and the new RS account details.
