Applied successfully in the app for myself and then my wife and I reckon took comfortably less than 2 minutes total which must be some sort of recordDodgerPot said:Furness
the new Reglar Saver appeared briefly
I had to tick box to confirm I’d read through the terms
it said my application is being checked and have 14 days to fund with a min of £1
when I checked back the account seems to have disappeared
Were you an existing customer ?1 -

Tried app, tried web on phone, tried web on laptop all to no avail.vandanfc said:
I struggled applying in the app, but managed by logging into online banking vis website. Account open and showing in app.easysaver said:Not working for me as a new customer. Comfortably the worst application I'v experienced and I have 40+ regular savers!
From the product page (https://www.furnessbs.co.uk/savings/products/product-overview/160th-anniversary-regular-saver?apply=true), after clicking the check box and hitting apply I get redirected to the digital page (https://www.furnessbs.co.uk/digital). From there if I click on Web it just gives me a spinning "Loading", if I click on the "get started here" or go through the "Begin your journey" I get to answer some questions, then put my personal details in and it says "you haven't selected a product yet", which is clearly rubbish.
As I say it's without doubt the worst account opening I've ever experienced.
Exactly the same here. Tried desktop, tried phone in Chrome, tried app.1 -
Impressed with Furness. Within ?15 minutes of the account going on sale, I've received an e-mail confirming my new account with instructions on depositing monies, and the new acount already appears in my list of accounts.0

Wished I had taken a screenshot for about 15 minutes when it said you will get your account number soon, but I have now had an email confirmation and account shows in app. I will fund tomorrow when COP works as I entered £160 for initial funding amount. The email says I have 14 days so I am just happy to have secured the account.
There’s no point sending to an existing Furness account that passes COP given the delay in the payment showing. I opted not to do so last week in case online availability never happened.
It wasn’t the smoothest even as an existing customer, took a few times to recognise that I had read the summary box. Very glad that I opened the EA to become an existing customer as the website is obviously struggling with demand at the moment.

Seems it made it simpler to quickly add this new account this morning as soon as it became available0 -
Has anyone opened this account as a NEW customer?
Perhaps it's worth opening an easy access account first?
Seriously unimpressed with Furness.0 -
Existing customer…..opened in IOS (app)…..took about a minute. Account took about 10mins to show. Now funded via internal transfer (moved funds to existing account yesterday in prep).0

Opened an Everyday Saver yesterday afternoon to get all the tedious ID stuff out of the way. Sent £10 to it overriding COP and it's showing up this morning. No problem opening the RS when it appeared.
It matures 10 months from opening. Payments into the account are calendar month, so in theory it will take an 11th payment. Can't see anything saying maximum of £16000 -
