Quick question about 13th payments, I've just realised that I've got several RS due to mature in January and standing orders which will go out on 2nd Jan.

Which of these will be/not be accepted please? I'll cancel any SO which will bounce.

    Club Lloyds Monthly Saver,
    Lloyds Monthly Saver,
    Principality Christmas Saver (2025),
    Progressive.
Also got a Principality RS4 6 month which will get a 7th payment
Furness RS will mature early February.

    TIA
Lloyds should be ok, Principality 6 month probably won't as it's a max deposit limit, dunno about others

Edit didn't realise you talking about so, I only do manual transfers, not sure if you can just cancel so easily when there's hardly any banking days atm

Club Lloyds MS and Lloyds MS: no max balance specified so 13th payment should be okay
Principality Xmas RS 2025: max balance is £1500 (12 X £125) so 13th payment will be rejected if you've reached the max
    Progressive: don't know
Principality 6 month RS 4: max balance is £1200 (6 x £200) so 7th payment will be rejected if you have reached the max
Furness Xmas RS: no max specified

Club Lloyds Monthly Saver,  - accepted
    Lloyds Monthly Saver, - accepted
Principality Christmas Saver (2025) and other Principality RSs, - not according to T&C, but according to experiences shared in this forum it has a good chance to be accepted.  If not the funds will be returned (in my experience on the sane day).
Progressive. - not according to T&C.
    Furness - should be accepted.

If you have more than the permitted number of any issue of Principality, probably best not to draw attention to yourself by trying to pay in more than allowed balance into any particular account. Monetary gain negligible. Risk of a human taking a look over your account list cannot be ascertained but could be significant and possibly outweigh any benefit. YVMV.

I made a mistake by paying an extra £200 into my principality as a 7th payment and it was accepted with interest paid. I didn’t realise I’d done it until it was in the account.

Fair enough if it's a mistake. I wouldn't want to test the good will of Principality by overpaying knowingly in breach of the terms.

Well I've cancelled them, but they're still showing in the list of payments to be made  (Santander). Will check on Monday to see if the cancellations have been processed.

I will probably try my luck with Principality so I'd rather not draw attention to myself in advance.

Just requested all of my Principality 6 month balance to come to my Virgin account tomorrow
I've done exactly the same with my Healthy Habits RS maturing in January as my last attempt on the 22nd December at opening another PBS Chrissy RS with my maturity instructions hit the decks 2 days later, so it's a waste of time even trying - loophole closing even tighter by the minute and certainly time to move on  ;)
As a side note Dudley BS: Has anyone managed to get both the Dudley BS Festive RS Online & Branch/Post RS? If so, can you see your Branch/Post edition online? I sent off an application form on the single day the online version was available which I managed to open by using my phone, but still haven't had my cheque cashed or received any correcpondance from Dudley about my postal application.

Not sure I see the risk. If they "took exception", they'd just be closing an account which was within a month of maturity. Renewal duplicates are being closed regardless.

There's no evidence of this ever happening, either.

Go for it, I say. They might bounce your overpayment, as it their right.
