Morning all.
I hace quite a few regular savers maturing in Jan and Feb. Can any contributors enlighten me as to whether the following do or do not accept a “13th payment”?
Bank of Scotland
Chorley
Coventry
Darlington
Ford
Furness
Halifax
Loughborough
Mansfield
Newcastle
Principality
Progressive
Suffolk
West Brom
Thanks! 🙂0 -
Mansfield doesn't mature, it just drops to a rubbish rate of interest as the bonus expires. Close and new application necessary if you want to continue saving at the headline rate.What_time_is_it said:Morning all.

Halifax technically doesn't mature either, it empties out and starts from 0, so if you make a 13th you need to close the account or wait until next month, as the account number will block a new payment made in to it in the same calendar month.
BOS (and Lloyds) both support 13th payment.
Principality doesn't officially but unofficially they normally don't reject them.
West Brom rejects 13th payments I believe, presuming this is a Reg Saver issue 7.
Loughborough's products are normally set with a maximum balance equal to the term, but they offer 2, 3 and 5 year accounts sometimes so it's incorrect to say 13th in this case. Perhaps they offered a 12 month one in January/Feb last year? In any case an extra payment is usually forbidden.2 -
Chorley RS (30.11.2026)
It currently says The product you selected is currently unavailable. Is this because they're in the process of releasing a new issue (presumably 31.12.2026) or because it's genuinely gone NLA?
Online type that is, post sends you to an application form to print out.2 -
I think you'll need to be in wait and see mode here. Usually the account has remained available until the last day of the month, so 2 days before that is unusual. But they could have closed it early for an easy life.easysaver said:Chorley RS (30.11.2026)

I suspect the latter, as the 2 year locals only one has also gone.1 -
Mine is maturing on 31 Dec. I received this message "Following feedback from our members we will now exclude your rollover amount from your January monthly subscription. E.g. If you have opted to rollover £400.00, you can make an additional subscription of £400.00 in January." and submitted the form - £400 to the rollover RS and the rest to my bank account. I expect it to be 31.12.2026, but we'll have to wait and see what happens.easysaver said:Chorley RS (30.11.2026)

Suffolk Building Society
Online 1 Year Variable Rate Regular Saver (31.3.26): rate reducing to 4.35% (from 4.60%) with effect from 19th January 2026. Can close early without penalty if done by 31.1.263 -
Can you have more than one Chorley RS?0

Has anyone who sent off for Suffolk branch/post version heard anything yet? I sent mine by email on launch day but don’t want to call them if they might just be inundated. Have logged in online to check and nothing showing yet.

Ah thanks!Hattie627 said:
You can have more than one RS if they are of different types eg one "normal" RS (only one, irrespective of end date) and one Regional RStopyam said:Can you have more than one Chorley RS?
I was wondering if I could open the new one that likely will be coming out as well as the one that they seem to have stopped taking applications for..0
