@ Bob2000 - None of us can complain really based on the hoards of extra Principality RS we may have & shouldn't have had as per Principalities T&C's. I've already got 2 x 2026 Christmas RS and 4 x 6 month (Issue 4) RS. However, as Principality continue to offer these and others as maturity options, then the rejections will continue, but it seems not for everyoneBob2000 said:
Yup, it happened to me yesterday. Asked for my healthy habits to be converted into another Xmas RS (on the 20th), would have been my 3rd.Dizzycap said:
@ nomorekids - I hope all goes through and it isn't reversed. Others have had their maturity instructions honored only to find their new if successful account (same account number) is closed a day or two later and funds returned. I really hope this isn't the case for younomorekids said:So sorry @dizzycap for your rejection too by principality, christmas present to me this morning from principality who seem to have honoured my maturity instructions and now have another Reg Saver 4. Nationwide wont let me log on to check to balance less £200 transferred but from Principality transaction history it looks like it has. I'll post update over next few days if this is reversed. Fingered crossed maturity date of 25th means I can keep it.
So far, they haven't noticed my cheeky extra one.
Merry Christmas to everyone.
I've also got a Healthy Habits maturing on the 10th January but won't hold my breath on being able to obtain another CRS or 6MthRS. Still, the funds will come in useful for funding other RS in February, so can't complain

I suspect the recent maturity renewals will be dealt with when normal service resumes, depending who does it (branch staff or head office) and how they're dealing with Christmas that could be anywhere between this Saturday and epiphany.
Hope not, obviously, but I'd be mindful of counting your chickens until a few working days in January have passed!6 -
Notification of Dudley Loyalty Regular Saver rate reduction received in the post. Nothing says the postie is saving up your post like having an elastic band keeping it all together (and a letter confirming my Festive account details arrived at the same time.)Bit naughty that it’s still on the website for new applications at 6%. Can’t see any mention of the forthcoming reduction.5

I got the same two letters from Dudley BS this morning. The rate reduction letter (in my case for both the Loyalty RS and the RS Issue 9) was dated 18th December which I think was the date of the BoE base rate reduction announcement. Also got the letter confirming my online Festive RS details dated 20th December. I posted yesterday application form and cheque for the branch/postal Festive RS which hopefully they will get next week before Thursday 1st Jan, I may be too late but fingers crossed.Kim_13 said:Notification of Dudley Loyalty Regular Saver rate reduction received in the post. An elastic band just means they have a few things to take to you and they want to keep it together in their bag, it doesn't mean they're personally saving it up! It's quite normal for post to come out in bursts at this time of year as packet traffic is prioritised but that'll mostly be happening upstream in the distribution centre, not in local sorting offices (where your delivery workers are based).Kim_13 said:Notification of Dudley Loyalty Regular Saver rate reduction received in the post. If post is being held to come out then it'll just be sat in a slot; no need for an elastic band (until it is worked through).0 -
Still, it made me chuckle. Much needed today, so thank you Kim!WillPS said:
