    The question I wish to ask is, has anyone who has more accounts than they should have managed to get a new account opened in the past shall we say 7 days. I managed it on the 5th so I think I just got under the wire.
    I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
    The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
    There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
    I listen all night for your step on the stair.

    Have they just announced this? Why would they do that two days before the Bank of England base rate meeting?
    It's a dead cert and/or they're dropping for a reason other than the expected base rate cut so it doesn't matter.

    I know: Back to speculating but IIRC nobody tested these circumstances that PBS may be cutting slack on:

    Have people who have been rejected had any significant funds with PBS other than their Reg Savers?

    And/or have people who've not been rejected got significant PBS deposits outside PBS's RSs?

    I'm in the latter group- and, accepting that it would be wise NOT to provide enough info to be identified by a digital search, I'll add I've got quite a few more Iss4s than anyone else has declared on here.

    And my last conversion was just about a week ago, too.

    Either that or they're trying to escape being on my list of interest rate cuts if the BOE base rate is cut on Thursday given that I generally don't include listing cuts where it was announced before the BOE Base Rate Decision.

    I think I'll make an exception in this case though and say that if the BOE Base Rate is cut on Thursday I'll include the Loughborough BS cuts in my lists as the last two MPC decisions have been to hold the base rate and it's only 2 days out.

    Besides I've already compiled a list of variable rate regular savers so it's ready to go just in case.

    Because they know the outcome of this meeting, everyone knows, some react slower some quicker.  Loughborough reduction is very modest, won't affect my strategy.

    The only none RS I have is Online Bonus Triple Access Issue 7 with £1 balance.  My last successful roll over was on 5th Dec. I have 6 iss4s, but it looks like this number is going to decline.

    I have a Christmas 2025 maturing on 21st Dec and a RS3 maturing on 23rd Dec.
    On 8th Dec I gave maturity instructions for the Christmas 2025 requesting a Christmas 2026. This seems to have been accepted  as I have not had a message rejecting it, even though I already have a Christmas 2026 RS.
    I am reluctant to give maturity instructions on my remaining one incase it highlights this, so I will wait until the 21st when my new Christmas 2026 is open and then I will give maturity instructions for another Christmas RS.
