    I'm In the same boat. I do recall reading something about it needing to be next day on here bit that was probably about 17 pages back now and I can never get the search facility to work properly on the MSE APP! 
  • My Nationwide FlexRS matured yesterday and today is showing as in an EA account, which I have now moved temporarily into my nominated account. I tried to open a new RS but it refused me, saying I already have one.

    • Reference: Your Manchester Building Society account number. Your account number is a 13-digit account number which can be found in your welcome letter or by logging into your account online. Please ensure that your account number is entered exactly as shown including any uppercase letters.
    If you look in your inbox in online banking you'll find a welcome letter that contains the 13* digit account number but you don't need it: for me COP passed and the deposit was accepted by Manchester with the seven digit account number as reference.

    *It has the same 7 digit number but with some text added before and after to make it look like a usual Newcastle BS account number.

    My faster payment of around 5pm is now showing in the RS. Nice, quick application as a new customer, and fast crediting of deposit. Would be even nicer if they had an app (which I gather is in the pipeline).
    I made a second payment last night at 10:33pm, and it was credited to the account this morning at 8:01am - although entry dated today, it shows it was deposited yesterday.

    I like that they send both email & SMS to confirm a deposit.
    out of curiosity, I tried using the Newcastle BS app with my MBS details (a la Cahoot & Santander), but as expected, it failed - so will have to wait for the MBS app to arrive.

    After applying today around 8am the new RS is now visible online. Internal transfer made but COP will be active tomorrow so will setup SO then.

    Need COP match? The sort code and 00000001 ac number matches for mancs BS - so you only need to ensure you get your 7 numerical digit reference correct.

    Not confident?: Send £1 test, they email you deposit confirmation in 30 mins or so and you're good to go.
