...Well that's fine. I'd be doing it more for the £500/month deposit to be honest. Twice that of their normal RS at the same rate with no obvious barrier to opening one. I fully expect to move house again at some point.IanManc said:
The website says: "If your mortgage does not complete we have the right to reclaim the bonus of £500".WindfallWendy said:Hi everyone...

So my question to you all is... I'm looking at the Home Deposit Saver at Leeds. It's 4.8% so not outstanding, but it allows £500/month and if you get a mortgage offer from the Building Society within 5 years, you get a bonus £500. Where is the catch? I might well be thinking of moving in that timeframe, and even if I'm not, why not get a mortgage offer from them anyway, if you benefit by receiving £500???!?
..........
Thoughts?
Do others have these on their list of RS holdings?0 -

Lisa from Halifax probably wouldn't be identifiable (there will be many Lisa's there) but there is probably only one Lisa at Principality.
I have two pending RS maturities with Principality, 30th May and 5th June. The online system offered me, in both cases, a rollover to a 6 month RS Issue 3, which I opted for in both cases. My options were acknowledged without issue. I will be disappointed if it turns out that such an option is not allowed.0 -
Owain Hughes. And before you ask, no I don't 😆s71hj said:

No problem, I don't have accounts with Melton so ignored any detailed conversations so far but was looking at it as I have spare cash that needs a home and the rate looked attractive. Hopefully something else comes around soon :-)Bridlington1 said:

Melton regular saver 5 is still available though; and can almost be treated as an easy access account.pecunianonolet said:

I had a bit of a conversation with Moneyfacts about this last week! They took it off the list for a couple of hours and then came back to me saying it was still available on branch so put it back on their site!Bridlington1 said:

Good morning - I've chosen to close my Aldermore 5% Regular Saver set up on 3rd January earlier this year because the rate drops to 4.75% tomorrow - whilst it says that I can close the account and the money (currently £1500) will be sent to my nominated account (Lloyds) it then states that I won't be able to log in to my account if I close it so before I do that, can I just check - will the £1500 be sent with added interest or will I just get my £1500 back?!? I think I know the answer but just thought I'd ask you kind people if anyone knows already.
Btw I've checked all the terms and conditions in the paperwork saved regarding this account but can't find the answer to this question, I've secure messaged Aldermore as well but thought MSE forumites might be quicker!
Thank you xx0 -
