I applied for the Melton Adcock Regular Saver by post to their freepost address about a week ago and indicated I would make my opening deposit by electronic transfer.  I received a slip from them yesterday with the details needed to do this.  COP matched and I have transferred the opening deposit.
My question is do I need to ring them to obtain online access or when they have credited the account will they send me out details for this along with their saving card/passbook?
    Thanks

You will receive a letter with your online ID. Another letter asking you to ring them to get. a temporary online password. When you call them they give you the first digits of the password and they email you the remaining digits . You can then log in and set your own password. I received a passbook from them showing the entry for my initial £150 deposit made by electronic transfer. I also received another letter with details of how to verify my nominated bank for withdrawals.

Quick question, Santander and Lloyds regular saver.

I put 200 into Santander and 250 into the Lloyds regular saver but had to take the 200 from Santander out and some of the Lloyds regular saver. I am reading their withdrawal terms but I am not sure if I can within the same month replace those funds e.g. put the 200 back into Santander. Apologies if it is obvious but been a looong day....
Unfortunately, any monies withdrawn from a RS can't be relaced at a later date. I hope that helps
    Not universally true.

Virgin Money specifically allows it. Natwest/RBS don't stop you adding funds back in the same month you took it out either.
So do you mean if I took out the full 5000 from NatWest reg saver in march I could put the full 5000 back in before the end of march but after march it would revert back to 150 per month
This is what has been claimed. If you decide to give it a go please let us know how it goes - haven't the cojones to try it myself.

Did it last month. Worked fine. Pretty sure I've done it before too when I've accidentally transferred from one then immediately put it back (in hope).

I should add that I tend to use my Digital Regular Savers kind of like easy access savings anyway, due to my wife having several thousand pounds worth of tax free interest and me only £500 (some of which I need to keep spare for Nationwide incentives). Nice to know I can 'replenish' money only used short term.

I recall at the end of December when issue 2 (31.03.2026) was launched, some on here decided to fund both issues at their maximum £250 (i.e. £500 per month).  I went for £10 and £240 respectively as per t&c, but wonder if anyone managed to get away with depositing £500.

I have both issues and fund them both with £250 each month.

On the application form did you indicate you wanted to have online access and did you provide your email address?
Approval of your nominated  account  will require a original bank statement not a online copy if you are asked to provide a statement

I sent the application form and didn’t provide any ID or bank statement. It has all been set up and I have verified my nominated account.

    Would appear you cannot……..

”Maximum monthly deposit: £200. This means the maximum balance you can have at the end of the term is £2,400 (plus interest). If you take money out and then pay it back in, it’ll count towards this monthly limit.”

Thanks both, that makes it clear for Santander. I think Lloyds can be replaced within the month if I read it right.
    Lloyds https://www.lloydsbank.com/savings/monthly-saver.html
"Bear in mind you may not be able to replace what you withdraw. This is because of the monthly deposit limits." - I've no idea what exactly "may not" means in this context, but my notes say that you cannot replace withdrawn money.  Please let us know if you manage to withdraw and replace.
If you have not funded the account fully say £200 of course you you can add  up to £200 if it's the club account possibly may not comes into play if you attempt to add more than £200

    Melton Adcock Regular Saver

A 5 star service from Melton. I sent my application form on Monday, the account has been opened and funded yesterday and today I was able to go on line and see my account and money duly registered. On Monday, although it wasn't requested, as a new customer, I sent my council tax letter as a prove of address for them and today was returned in the post. I hope this could be helpful for those who are thinking of opening the account. I made a couple of phone calls also and the people there are absolutely lovely.
    Just for balance...

New Melton customer, sent Adcock RS application form off 1st class w/ cheque on 17/03

    Cheque cashed 21/03.

No communication whatsoever from Melton to date.
I paid with electronic transfer from my nominated account, so much easier than writing and sending a check that is not a 'must' for them. Anyone can chose to make even the first payment from bank order just ticking the option in the application form. I guess this makes the process really quick. When they phoned me to inform that the account had been opened I was given sort code, account and reference for my bank and sent the first payment in a minute. Now waiting for next Tuesday to pay for the second calendar month
Doesn’t have to come from nominated account only used for transfers out.
Has your nominated account been approved?

    Re. MELTON ADCOCK RS
Approved and verified. I used my nominated account because I don't see any advantage to mess things up unnecessarily. Once I sent my first deposit I changed it directly to a standing order. Job done
