Just spoken to Furness BS and they've confirmed the 160th Anniversary Regular Saver shall be made available to online applications tomorrow so it would seem they've not yet reached the target number of applications.
Good luck everybody. Let's see if the website can handle the pressure!
Anticipating this thread will have 10 more pages by tomorrow lunchtime :D
    Almost. 9 and counting!

    FURNESS

Worst application I’ve ever attempted. ID system absolute rubbish-kept taking photos of my passport before I could line it up. Then many attempts at a selfie before being rejected. I’ll have one more attempt later, but not very impressed.

After 2 rejections, I phoned them. Having selected saving option, they were quick to answer but apparantly I should have selected the digital platform option and I couldn't be transferred as they were too busy (surprise, surprise). She confirmed my phone no. for a callback. Not too long a wait.
It transpired that both my applications failed due to the passport photo (wife's taken in same place had been OK). Suggestion was to try again with a dark background or try driving licence. Passport on black background worked and a/c now opened.
Yes, did that (black background). May try driving licence later. In my case, I avoid phoning institutions as I’m deaf and really only use my phone for text, messages etc.

Similar to my experience — as a new customer. Given up for now. Might try a bit later.

I started the application on my desktop and switched to my phone part of the way in on recommendation of better ID photos. Perhaps I’ll see right through on desktop and see what happens. 🤔

Hooray!! Tried again via desktop and but still sent to phone. Persevered with passport and took my selfies manually and it worked! Just had the details through via email.

Anyone managed to get both versions of the Furness account? I had a paper form probably land on their doormat this morning and have opened an online version now also so waiting with baited breath to see if a 2nd one pops up.

There isn't two versions of the account? It's a single account which allows application via branch or online [or, unofficially, by post].

I opened mine by post. When I log in to apply for another one the RS doesn’t show. It must be just one per person
