Hi guys, Happy New Year to you all!!
I'm late in joining in but I am joining in lol.
I've had a rough few weeks with an unexpected hospital stay and operation, aswell as time off work that I never do, so I'm off my game lol.
I'm still recovering from my surgery, so some of my targets may not happen this month, but once I'm back on my feet I'll be on the ball.
Here's my list - which I actually found very hard to do this time round- Clean 25 cupboards and corners in the house. (0/25)
- Do 25 fun activities with family. (0/25)
- Go out for 25 walks per month. (0/25)
- Lose 25lbs. (6/25) (thanks to my recent surgery I lost my appeitite)
- Read 25 books. (0/25)
- Save 25 of each domination of coin (if I can find £2's lol) and notes. (0/25)
- Treat myself 25 times this year. (1/25)
- Watch 25 new to me films (0/25)
- Use my weighted Hula Hoop 25 times per month. (1/25)
- Declutter 25 bags or boxes of unwanted items from the house. (0/25)
- Complete 25 Art or Craft activities. (0/25)
- Spend 25mins sorting out my emails and photos. (1/25)
- Make 25th of the month a "me" day. (0/25)
- Complete 25 DIY jobs in the house. (0/25)
- Make 25 visits to the local church. (1/25)
- Make 25 extra payments to my debts. (2/25)
- 25mins of Gardening per week. (0/25)
- Use up 25 toiletries from the stash. (0/25)
- Tell myself "NO" 25 times. (3/25)
- Make or bake 25 items. (1/25)
- Sell 25 pins from my collection. (2/25)
- Learn 25 new things this year. (0/25)
- Drink 25 glasses of water instead of 25 cans of coke. (0/25)
- Listen to 25 pieces of classical music. (0/25)
- Purchase 25 items to prepare for unexpected events (0/25)
So I've decided to buy the likes of an extra phone charger, pyjamas, slippers, toiletry kit, underwear etc and some sort of a bag just to have in the house for each of us "just in case"
Also while discussing the like of that, we realised we should really check out and update our emergecy box, incase the electric goes out, or the water supply has to be cut down again etc.
So we've oredered new torches, and battery lights for example to put into the box along with our supply of candles. OH bought new cans of gas for the camping stove we have upstairs etc.
Extra Powerbanks are also on our list to buy.
The telling myself no - well I've already done that a few times as I went a bit mad in the sales, and just before the sales, but realised I really don't need any of the items, so they have been returned. So that's a big thing for me to do.Pay all debt off by Christmas 2025 £815.45/£3,000£1 a day challenge 2025 - £180/£730 Declutter a bag a week in 2025 11/52Lose 25lb - 10/25lbs Read 1 book per week - 5/52Pay off credit card debt 18%/100%5 -

24) Watch 25 films - 1/25
25) Read 25 books - 1/25
I have found number 8 (drinking a litre of water a day), harder than I thought. I am going to fill my drinks bottle each morning, adding a slice of lemon, and basically take it everywhere with me to see if that helps.
I am pleased with how well my Vinted selling has been so far (number 3), and have decided to just keep going if I reach 25 items.
I have worked through my ‘Spending Insights’ on my banking app to calculate my average monthly spend on petrol and groceries (numbers 11 and 18), and will now track monthly to reduce these by £25 each. In doing this, I can claim my first achievement of reviewing our household finances for 25 minutes (number 14).
I made soup for the first time yesterday, and was very pleased with myself (number 4), and I’m hoping that things like this, my water intake, step count (numbers 7 and 9) and Zumba (number 16), will help me lose some weight (number 1).
Hope you are all well
