Today I am forcing myself to do the bathroom ceiling so that when the new cupboard comes on Monday it will feel like a brand new bathroom, again!! So Far I have put the masking tape up and got the sandpaper out and sorted the cupboard. Next job is sanding then painting, I am doing it in stages. I needed a breather - I know sounds silly but you must remember I am a big lass!

Cash pot is at £13.79 today I did take out the pot recently for chocolate drops so I could bake a chocolate drop and use the last banana- cake - It was delicious! My Room mate asked for it, but he hasn't actually tried it yet! He might not get a chance at this rate! Also last night I put togather the base for the pizza I am making tonight, I am doing roomie margharita and Tuna pizza for me! It looks twice the size this morning, the dough that is.

Prolific is being good to me, with 2 surveys this morning still not quite enough to cash out - £4.34/ £13.18 pending.
(needing £6 to cash out). My shop has been and I managed to keep the balance of £50.20 (20p over because of the size of the butternut squash!) but then came under as some of the bread items are squished so I should see £2.29 back which will add to the pot eventually.

Anyhow I must be getting to the sanding - have a good day allXX

I have done silly things today which I am actually pleased about let me explain...I have given myself a meal out (Maccie Ds) and I also got myself some baking items so I can do some more cakes as I am really enjoying the process I feel very relaxed baking so wanted to keep it up, plus I enjoy the finished product.

I have also just spent on Credit card £100.00 for the exclusive rights to my logo for my business, I am super chuffed that the logo I have will remain mine because I love it!! Overall once I have paid bills tomorrow the mortgage shouldn't come out so I will be £35.29 in the red overall, I will check this out tomorrow. I didn't see the point in wiping out the cash pot instead I have changed the balance required to £185.29 which the £150 I wanted plus the balance of the credit card. So Cash pot after spending today is a measly £1.71!  (<1%) MD thinks I am silly for doing this, but I feel it is a good move personally, so I don't get a copy cat running a business like mine locally!

Next on my to do list for the business, I have decided to get indemnity insurance but not until I get my first customer and will judge what I should get once that first customer comes through! Also I need a bank however I want it to be linked to my business phone which I am still waiting for the sim card.

Last month was the most I have ever made on prolific with a total of £275.17 which is incredible, I need to remind myself what I spent this on as a lot seems to have disappeared! (I got clothing and bathroom stuff and some dining experiences) This month I need to try my best to keep it in the pot. I have just asked MD if I can polish chest of drawers for her for £20, it requires deep polish with wire wool and briwax! It will be tough going, But I will be glad of the cash. Also I will be prolificing as much as possible this week.

Tomorrow I am cleaning, waiting for the mattress and completing surveys on prolific, (also cupboard going up), I will do a to do list in the morning. I am excited with my new venture, but it would be good to get a job also!

Yes it looks right £220 I need in cash pot, I await for all transactions on the card to activate, including refunds to come back, to see that I am right. I have had some good luck with surveys this morning I have completed three reasonable ones and bagged £10.77 therefore cash pot is £24.32 which is 11% already this morning, which brings me a little lift!

I need to do major clean up operation today, thankfully cupboard is now up and looks good and there is thankfully more space inside. I need a to do list:-

    1) Clean bathroom

    2) Change bed linen

    3) hoover

    4) do bins

    5) Clean dining table.

    6) Prepare dinner

    7) R&R

Thankfully mattress has just arrived and it looks good, I am very pleased with it, but proof will be in the pudding when roomie tries it out tonight! Lets see!

    Sometime later....

I now have made a purchase I realised that I needed a smartphone for my workphone so I have paid for second hand iphone with case it cost £172.98, therefore I have a new plan of action pay off credit card by the end of the month, currently the credit card stands at £300.15, I have deducted the cash pot - I also want to buy a new computer, but I am waiting - I may go to the mortgage provider and ask for this cash to come out of the chunk I have OPd - as it looks like I can get a lodger fairly quickly when I need to also all the applicants seemed very nice. Yes i'll call mortgage provider and see what they say....still deciding!

Thanks Newstart I appreciate the positive praise, I have just purchased the computer, I will need software also, but felt I should get the computer as it was on promotion and looks to be great, I think it will come with some software to start me up...next I need to look for a desk (second hand this time), but one that I am happy with. I may use the credit card a bit more, With the money coming from mortgage OP and cost of the the computer I am up to £350.54 to pay off throughout the month of June. So perhaps I should concentrate on that for a bit, it may go up a bit more also with software purchase, also I need to get some cash to pay for a desk! I may take out of the lodger deposit with the intent that cash will be paid to lodger rent deposit money first before paying off the credit card, just so I can use the cash...lets see what there is I have looked a few times and not seen anything I want to buy!

    Sometime later....

Wow I just shaken down the lodger for the £20 - he has given it to me LOL!! Also I have found a desk I am happy with and since I have £20 cash I have asked if they will take £20 (it was £30), I also offered to make a cake! I think It is a good desk, so it would be a real steal if I get it. It is a bit of a drive away but it will give me something to do. I have also ordered wired mouse and keyboard (don't have to buy batteries!) I prefer them also not dying on me. I could do with learning about how Universal credit works with business starting up, as I am not expecting a flourish of customers straight away! But you never know!

Next I need to go over on boarding forms etc and see if they are presentable also I could see if there are any free courses that could help with business, such as personal tax etc and see if there is other sources of information of on the web to help me. Feeling positiveXX

I didn't do the onboarding forms last night, I have already come up with some ideas I think they will be altered once I get my first customer. It is going to be very hard when I get my first customer to not say hey you are my first customer, but I feel it best not to highlight the fact that it is a brand new business, better to sound knowledgable and learn as I go!

I have found a desk and the agreement is that I will make a chocolate cake and part with £20 for the desk! I really like the desk so I think it will be a good move, £20 beats £790! plus it is not a bad size I think it is perfect for my new business! I should be collecting it today I will find out later. I am making three cakes as MD agreed that I could use her vehicle for a cake! Plus me and roomie have to have one!! as well in exchange for the desk!! I am a proper cake maker now!! perhaps I should have gone into business making cakes instead 🤣🤣🤣.

Unfortunately becuase I spent yesterday I added a little extra by means of snacks I am silly for doing it, but it is done now, therefore credit card stands at £367.87, with a deduction of some survey money this morning!

The bathroom looks good again now, for at least a little while, I am happy with it and it wasn't too bad an experience to sort out, but still it would be better to have a window, never mind.

Right now I am waiting for things to deliver and set up so that I can start advertising properly and really reach people, I am just waiting also for the phone and sim so that I can set up a bank account also. Once the cakes are made I will look at my forms again, the first cake is getting close to being ready so I must toodleXX

I have baked the cakes and I am due to go out soon to pick up the desk, for £20 plus a cake!! I managed to get a £7.00 survey so tomorrow I look like I will cash out £13.15/ £11.80 pending. So that is good, I also told MD what I have been doing and she gave me £70 to take off the credit card so that was worth asking for! I will calculate later the new balance, anyhow just a quick stop before heading out for the desk, hopefully I will make it back before rush hour! Enjoy your afternoon/ eveningsXX

    Sometime later....

Dinner is on, and desk is back, I am waiting for roomie to help bring it in and then I will assemble - It looks in very good condition providing it all fits together I think it will and I think I have done very well. So that is one piece of the puzzle sorted, I have also started to re-arrange my living room so I can fit the desk in, I am pleased. I'll take a piccie of the desk in situ later if it looks presentable that is! I felt unnaturally normal when I woke up this morning like I had no mental illness and almost like I had died although I was conscious - very strange! Back to feeling a bit crazy now though 😂😂😂!

I am super pleased with the desk, it is sturdy and in good condition and is a good space, I feel a bit charmed getting it if I am honest, I know it is just a desk but it is exactly what I was after. Goodnight allXX
