You can buy sort of freestanding drawers at Ikea - I'll see if I can find a link. They're really good for extra storage, for things like bedding, towels etc.

    Edit - couldn't find it...lol

Sofa wise it all depends on how much space I've got. Ideally would like a 3 seater and 2 seater. But I haven't got a real clue about prices. And I'm not really into leather unless she looks like this. :rotfl:

    This is better.

Chose dark colours. You'll understand when you've had it a while. Also have a look in the furniture shops, and see which ones look "lived in" the quickest. Avoid them.

I agree. The sofa looks v light coloured and wld be stained v. easily. Think wine, curry, beer, coffee, tea:they'll all be spilt at one time or another.

Good tip too about checking which items have worn bits, wobbly bits faded bits in the shop cos that's what your nice shiny new one will look like too after a few months.

Well I've been doing figures (again) and currently have about £2,800.

After this months outgoings and spending I need to be left with at least £2,000. The plan is to then get this as near as £3,000 as possible by the end of the month. That will leave me needing £1,500 from June to hit my £4,500 target even before July's payday.

Not sure whether I'm quite gonna hit it or not though. If I don't then it affects how much I have to spend on furniture and crap but hey ho.

I could be in my own flat in 9 and a bit weeks! :T
