This is almost exactly the same as me (£98/month up from £77, for Mega TV + TNT and 1GB broadband), having been taking to their live chat for nearly 90 minutes. i'm 'thinking about it' tonight and will call retentions tomorrow. Did you get any further with your threat to cancel?moneytorques said:
Couldn't reach a deal lower than £98pm up from £77pm.so it's goodbye to Virgin and my TV license for now.moneytorques said:Contract expires in May. Have cancelled, currently paying £77 for 500mbs and all the sports tv. Just offered me £220 pm then a saving down to.£150pm,.despite saying I wouldn't pay anymore than £45 pm if renewing. Mind boggles.
I see basically the same package for a new customer is £79.99...0 -
Rang back today to get to retentions, after a while i got down as far as £88/month, the only difference on this is that we now have adverts on netflix (oh joy!). Everything else is the same. I was tempted to attempt the 'ok, lets cancel then' but not sure if it is really worth it as it sounds like there isnt much more wiggle room. Annoyingly, the call cut off randomly just as i was about to say 'go'.0
