House not selling

Wishing you the very best of luck. I had a listed grade II railway station and it needed a lot of work, I had about 33 viewers over six months and the feedback was always too much work. In the end I was so anxious I stopped cooking in case the house smelt of cooking, it was so stressful. I ended up going to auction, I don't recommend it.£216 saved 24 October 20140

Hb92 said:Yes the new buyers are FTB. They apparently had another viewing of the house on Saturday so they could show round some family. I am supposed to be hearing from the sale progression team today. When i spoke to the EA on Friday morning they said the buyers were popping in with ID and the contact details for the solicitor and then the sales progression team would be in touch today as they don't work over the weekends. I haven't heard from them yet but it's still early. I'm really not getting my hopes up though just incase0

I think because a lot of them have no idea of the proper processes and how it all works. Spoke to the EA yesterday and he was due to go in with his ID and finalise some mortgage paperwork as he is using the mortgage advisor from the EA. Apparently all was good at the viewing so no reasons why the offer won't go through at this point. I have to keep reminding myself that some people just don't get jobs done as quick as me. It's a week today since we accepted the offer so i'm hoping they now have the ID and the sales progression team will contact me today. Fingers crossed0

FTB's can sometimes have high expectations and low levels of flexibility IME. Hopefully they won't run when they see the survey. The survey we had on our old house was better overall than the survey on our newer house, we weren't put off as we could see the important stuff wasn't much to worry us, but the first buyer we had on ours pulled out.0
