    There's usually a red light on the meter marked '100 Imp / kWh' or similar. Look at it closely for a minute or two. What is it showing?

    What is the exact model of your meter? Some of them can be a bit weird but there are a couple of people on here who know them inside out.

    Most folk on this thread will have twigged this already, but that's a smart meter and could be configured for either prepayment or credit (DD) modes.
    Can you share a photo of the meter? There are lots of different L&G meters all called E470 and it might help to see exactly what model we're looking at.

    When you do contact EDF make sure you complain about the no show engineer and also state how much it is costing you to stay in a hotel which you will be expecting them to pay.  And eat out as your fridge isn't working too.
