Opened the account last night. Logged in to both the app and online banking today. Deposited £1 today as a test payment. Everything working fine, apart from the fact there doesn't appear to be an option to actually withdraw money

Probably that there is a timelag of x days or that you have to validate your address from a code that will arrive in the post or something else that has to occur before withdrawals are permitted.0

I did wonder if it might be something like that, but there isn't any mention of it in the guff I have received (by email), or at the application stage.mebu60 said:Probably that there is a timelag of x days or that you have to validate your address from a code that will arrive in the post or something else that has to occur before withdrawals are permitted.0 -
Could be because the minimum operating balance is £1, so to withdraw your £1 you have to close the account. Try to send another £1 tomorrow morning and see if the button appears after 1pm. Weekend transactions work fine - the same pattern as for working days (1pm cut off).winkowinko said:Opened the account last night. Logged in to both the app and online banking today. I can now see a message saying 'Your nominated account must be authenticated before it can be used for withdrawals'
But without any instructions on how it will/should be authenticated.0 -
You need to wait to receive a letter with the authentication code and instructions on how to do it.winkowinko said:I can now see a message saying 'Your nominated account must be authenticated before it can be used for withdrawals'

I think its a great idea, say you are tricked into sending money to this account, You can't send it on until a code arrives.3 or 4 days thinking time would be good, would it not.Once you have the code you need not do it again, I've got 4 accounts with Gatehouse as of today.Only needed code for first one.2

may be a good idea but they needed to advise you of the process before you find out you can't withdraw.Bigwheels1111 said:I think its a great idea, say you are tricked into sending money to this account, You can't send it on until a code arrives.3 or 4 days thinking time would be good, would it not.Once you have the code you need not do it again, I've got 4 accounts with Gatehouse as of today.Only needed code for first one.16 Panel (250W JASolar) 4kWp, facing 170 degrees, 40 degree slope, Solis Inverter. It came up in the easy access thread a few months ago and a year plus ago when it was first launched.Rheumatoid said:

They needed to advise you. Not rely on people trawling a forum.Bigwheels1111 said:
