Now 8p at Aldi. I know one year it dropped to 9p but that was pre COVID.3

I stocked up today in Tesco on my regular shopping day so it looks like I overpaid by 42p for my 6 bags. Would cost more than that in petrol to go out shopping again.

I like a bargain as much as anyone else, but this is getting absolutely ridiculous now. There is a cost to these silly games they play, the question is who ends up paying it in the end?
My guess would be consumers with artificially inflated prices afterwards.5 -

My guess would be consumers with artificially inflated prices afterwards. No, there was a piece bout this on R4 Farming this morning. Farmers are getting the contacted prices they agreed way back before veg was sown. That is full priceThe loss is all the supermarkets, which of course they then bung onto other prices, in much the same way as other loss-leaders, like sugar, coffee or whatever. So, who pays is the customer, as usualEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens7 -
Not sure where the 8 pence info came from but veggie prices at Aldi are still 15 pence, I have just been there. A bargain , anywayBeing polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!
