  • Well this week has been as expensive as I thought it would be. So much so, I ended up having to do food shopping for this week on my CC, now I am back home. Also going to have to withdrawal £10 on it unfortunately, so daughter can get to school, and I can get to college, till I get paid on Wednesday.
Roll on March when everything calms down financially.

I know what you mean love. I've had to start breaking into the holiday money to just put electric on the meter. Here's hoping wednesday brings a bit more fortune.

So was your mate the one selling HM easter eggs??

  • I have till 20th Sept to save £235 to pay balance of family holiday, Then there is around £65 train fare to get there to save by August (always buy three months in advance) So need to try and save £50 a month, so £12.50 a week. Not sure where I'm going to scrape it back from at the moment, Have arranged for £5 to be saved each week, its just finding the other £7.50 to save, and this doesn't even include spending money. Defiantly think I need to do a new SOA for myself on 1st March.
Made some veg soup earlier in bulk, so half could then be turned into a stew, which will be divided by two so half is veggie and half can contain meat. Think I have set aside for soup for myself for the week. Will now for sure when its cool enough to actually blend it.

  • Got a question running through my head and not sure weather to do it or not. Was working money out for March, and noticed I would be able to reduce my O/D by £100 around mind march, then a thought struck me, or though I don't know my O/D apr, I am sure it is less than my CC apr 34.08%. So should I see how much I can have my O/D extended and clear as much as possible off the CC with O/D or keep O/D at the £200 balance and each time I am clear of O/D, or have £100 spare in it, use that to pay CC, which has just been maxed this week to £500 minus about £6.
Have to be honest I hate seeing my bank balance with red numbers, but it would be lesser of the two evils interest wise, and that way its more obvious a debt rather than being considered as a bill.
    I just don't know.

    I just don't know.

In that case, assuming the OD is less than evil CC rate, I'd do it. Seeing a red bank balance hopefully will spur you on to get rid of it!!!

How's the soup? Please send some my way as I have a sore throat :o
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
    :) Mortgage Balance = £0 :)

  • Soup was ok, though a touch too thick, so will need to water other portions down slightly. Yeah I hate seeing red numbers so that alone would make me do my best to get rid of it. Decided to stick to the £200 balance for now and each time I have it paid off, pay it on my CC.
