Sorry but that's a waste of time if you intimated you were driving. The rest is just generic waffle.
What- all of it? What about the part about no contract possible in a no parking area?
the only bit that will win is the POFA stuff if you didnt out yourself as the driver

I realise that I need to make own decisions about this but from some of the initial comments, i was encouraged to progress to a popla appeal.
Now responses indicate I am wasting my time- and it has been a huge amount of timeinvested in research and trying to follow the various threads.

No big deal if no positive outcome.  It's only Britannia!
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

It means it isn't difficult nor a worry if you lose at POPLA, as I said.  It doesn't matter. Nobody pays.

I would not bother with POPLA.

Defending a court claim is twenty times easier than POPLA and with an almost 100% win rate.  That's what I tell friends to wait for.

Look how darn easy it is at claim form stage:

Update - I submitted appeal along the lines of draft posted for comment. Britannia responded - pretty much on th last day pf their response window!  I responded to their evidence and photos.  A couple of weeks later I was advise that Britannia had withdrawn.

Good result for you 🥳 but it took a lot of time and effort.

Motorists need Govt to act NOW to control the private parking industry's unfair practices.

Please sign the petition linked in the post below, encourage family, friends and work colleagues to do the same. Once your signature is confirmed use the shown link to 'Contact your MP to let them know you have signed this petition'. MP support is needed to force the Govt to act. 🙏

Great! Well done! And I'm so glad to be proved wrong.

This will have possibly cost them a POPLA fee as the service was used.

At first. I thought it was odd that they gave up after your comments stage and before the decision. Unheard of but it looks like they've cancelled (perhaps) all recent PCNs and improved the surface markings:

    Very good outcome all round.
