Hi did you receive any information on their complaint process and what options you had to take your complaint further? Interesting to find out many thanks 🙏🏻Sez809 said:Some time ago I sent two boxes of items to VCC, and they eventually came back with a poor offer, which I declined. (I wasn't expecting market value, I was using them for ease but the offer was derisory so I decided I would prefer to donate the items. ) I requested a return. I received some but not all of my items back. Costume jewellery, and some gold/silver items which had been sent carefully wrapped, some in original boxes, were returned in a tangled mess, without boxes, and wrapped in plastic and tape.
I had sent two Hohner melodeons that had belonged to my grandfather; one was returned, but the other has not been. Neither had a brooch that they mentioned specifically in their offer to me. They also referred, in their phone call to some vintage kitchenalia (their phrase), the Victorian fire tools, and I myself made reference to an antique box and to both the melodeons I had sent. All the above is missing, and they are not replying to my emails.
I foolishly did not document what was sent, however I'm hoping that they record their phone calls so that I can refer back to the items discussed. (I am so cross with myself for neglecting to record what I sent. )
Does anyone have a contact address for someone other than the general office staff, as it seems my emails are going unnoticed, and phone calls are not answered?
Slight update: Just received an automated email from Parcel Force saying that VCC are sending a package to me. It will be interesting to see what is in it, seeing as VCC have not replied to my emails on the matter. I will update further.
And as a word of advice, if you think something is worth selling, use someone you can physically take it to, not some faceless organisation online. Learn from my hard lesson.0 -
If you contact citizens advice consumer services They can advise on taking your complaint further and you can report to trading standards through them. Hopefully that helps Goodluck to everyone 😊0

That sounds word for word what is said on the advert !libra10 said:We have had a good response from this company.
We sent a box full of items and within several days, received a fair offer more than we expected.
The offer was immediately accepted, and the payment received in our bank account the next day.2 -
I did think that it could be a paid advertisement or employee using this discussion to further advertise however my opinion and the real issue here is the loosing of people’s property and possibly breaching of contracts as goods are promised to be returned, no real complaints policies and definitely no escalation of complaints allowed. All people who have lost property to this company have the right to take their complaints further.0

I have nothing to do with the company, but seeing so many of their adverts on TV we decided to give them a try.
Like I said, we were happy with their offer and accepted their valuation which was paid within 24 hours.
It seems most problems occur when valuations are refused, and contents not returned.
The items we sent were of little value, just several items from a relative's house.
We are waiting for a label from VCC to send a second box, unsure whether we will be happy with their offer or not.
I have been looking at their website FAQs, and there are various ways to contact them, phone, email, Facebook and Live Chat.

It might be worth trying one of these ways to communicate.
Good luck-1 -
Why would you give all that info above when comments already show problems with communication?!? In my opinion I Definitely get a feeling you have a vested interest in this company, my opinion comments are all to advertising and doesn’t seem right. I’m not communicating with this will not be played by a company that just wants to rip people off.1

Admittedly my spidey senses did tingle but looking at the other person's post/comment history they do seem to be a legit ordinary person. I very much doubt any company would think it worth playing such a long convoluted game just to convince a few posters on a minor forum that one person has had a good experience!Bear100 said:I did think that it could be a paid advertisement or employee using this discussion to further advertise …0 -
possibly however it’s a big business and they do not want claims to be made against them. Don’t under estimate these rip off companies0
