Vintage Cash Cow -Advice needed

@Spoonie_Turtle With our relative passing, we have had lots of work clearing out his house, and selling some of his possessions. We tried Facebook Marketplace to sell his mobility vehicle, games consoles etc but received much less than they were worth. We could have tried Ebay to sell some of his things, but it isn't as straightforward as it used to be.
We tried VCC for items of lesser value, and were more than satisfied with their offer.
My husband is busily packing up some more items to send, will let you know how we go on.1 -
Hi It is exactly the case, if you refuse their offer it’s then a problematic area where you may not get all your items back as i’m my experience. Then it gets worse as they have no clear complaints policy documents that you can access it’s all dealt with in house, they except no accountability for loosing your property and lie and gaslight you to state you never sent it .. case closed .. no consequences for them and myself and others have lost property. There should be an external complaint's process that customers can access challenge their in house decisions, gain access to their CCTV and property investigate what is happening to peoples property…0

For these reasons people should beware.0

I understand you accepted their offer however you sound very much like an advert for the company , many people have had bad experiences and it is imperative that all sides of this company are made transparent to future customers and vulnerable people so they can make good decisions. I had a bad experience and my property was lost there was no follow up and this seems to be happening to many people. This needs to be addressed and not covered up. I am happy you seem to have had a good experience however many people have not.libra10 said:@Spoonie_Turtle With our relative passing, we have had lots of work clearing out his house, and selling some of his possessions. I agree!
However, you can only speak as you find
We have prepared another box to send, and waiting for the postal label which they send out.
We will send items which would not be kept or sold elsewhere, and will see what VCC eventually offer (if anything).
Will update when we find out.0 -
Goodluck with that, It seems if you accept their offer everything goes well, it’s my understanding if you refuse the problems start… which should be investigated professionally and I believe is being done. I reported to trading standards as have real concerns for this area of the company. I believe house clearing services are better and safer and Pawn shops for gold silver prices.1

Hi I sympathise as was in the same situation and this is when we are vulnerable to scammers and being ripped off by sending items that are then lost. We found a company that paid us for items and cleared the property. I am still very sad about loosing valuable property to Vintage cash cow that can never be replaced . That’s why i believe if you use a pawn shop at least if you do not except the offer you do not loose your valuable unreplacable items and get treated with contempt.1

It sounds like they have let you down badly.
