Sky Broadband Signup with Voucher - is it possible?

Tried last week to sign up for Sky broadband via the link in the comparison. It kept erroring at the screen when trying to schedule an engineer - by clicking back and going forward several times, I finally managed to get it to load - and then it gave the same error once I had put my bank / card details in (the exact point where you don't want an error)
After chatting to support and them asking me to download google chrome and try it in incognito mode, finally they gave me a direct number to the sales team. Another half an hour later, the switch was processed.
Today I've received the email from giftcloud reminding me to sign up via the link to get the voucher. Obviously the £105 voucher was a big part of the reason I went with sky, but it looks like I probably won't get it by the terms of the voucher as emailed:

3. Vouchers are only available for online purchases. Customers purchasing
over the phone, webchat or direct Sky Broadband online purchases will
not be eligible.
So I'm wondering, has anyone managed to secure their voucher through this? I know I'm not the first person to ask this question (or similar) but all the comments are saying things like "oh, you're probably not eligible due to your exchange" etc. Clearly that isn't the case. Has anyone succeeded? Surely someone from MSE is going through and making sure these aren't a scam?
