Sky broadband deal - impossible to sign up

We're moving house soon, our current IP isn't offered at our new address. I found a good deal with Sky (900mb gigafast, sky stream, netflix included 58£ a month, 50£ gift card) but every time I go sign up for it (and passed the many "add this for X a month", I get a technical error "Sorry, we're having technical difficulties".
I tried many times, used a different browser, and contacted sky help on facebook this morning (they haven't replied), but so far nothing.
Is there any point having this deal on comparison websites if it doesn't work? The deal runs out on the 2nd.
Sky is literally the only IP giving us this speed at our new address, so we can't go with anyone else.
Has anyone tried recently?

I'd be more inclined to think the issue is that Sky isn't able to give you that speed at the address when they complete their checks.
Assuming you are going through the comparison site I'd be inclined to check directly on the Sky site to see what speed they offer you.
I have had similar before where comparison sites showed availability but checking directly showed no availability hence my suggestion above.0 -
The website puts me through Sky and its checks fine, it's when I want to actually input my own details (as opposed to the house ones if that makes sense) that it doesn't work.Sky itself offers me the speed, but not the TV package, and I still get the same error message once I've clicked past all the optional packages.0

what did Sky say when you called them and asked?0

Haven't called them yet, I was hoping it would get resolved and only asking here in case it's happening to anyone, especially as they have a worse deal on their website. We spent enough time today trying to cancel virgin, even though we're out of contract and we can't take them to our new address.I'll waste another 2hrs of my life tomorrow morning with Sky instead...0

@MissNinja I've also experienced the technical error message when trying to order online.
Read about others having the same inability to complete orders on their community forums.
I rang them and got an even better deal! Order processed without any issues.
Ringing them is your only option I'm sure. My call was completed in less than an hour including being on hold and passed around a couple of times.1 -
@Trace-T I looked on the website for a phone number, found one in the help section but it's only for sky customers (it wants me to give them a phone number with a sky account, which I obviously don't have), I'm currently at my wits' end at this stage and the nearest sky store is over an hour away from where I am.I'm literally in the same situation as this person, it's a complete joke, sky is the only one providing deals above 100mb at our new property (and all 4 of us need internet)Edit: caved in, goong to the sky store an hour away

The only normal number I've come across is 03337592619. Ignore all the voice prompts and hold on, to be put through to a human.
As far as I've read either going to a Sky stand/store or from a referral code are the only other options.
I do have Sky mobile so was able to contact them on 150.
Good luck at the store!

Thanks, I managed to get a similar deal with the store person. So frustrating when you only have 1 option!1

Sky use Openreach for FTTP , so if 900Mb Sky is available , it’s almost certainly the case that other ISP’s that also use Openreach FTTP will be available to ( it’s OR that provide the various speed profiles, the ISP just selects the one their customer wants to use ) so as already stated , it’s possible Sky have jumped the gun and are offering something that isn’t available yet , so the Sky order fails , or there will be alternate ISP’s available, you may not want to use them , but they will be available1

OpenReach checker is at https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL
Possibly the exchange you are connected to is not FTTP enabled yet which is why it is erroring.1
