  • What an awful price !
I pay £31 for a 250ml bottle of this stuff for all 5 of my fleabags ! It lasts me a year ! Dont buy the pipettes ! Its silly money This has to be prescribed from the vet but most will sell it over the counter as long as they have seen the pet before at some point. This is a shame as I have found the large bottle for half the price online but they need to see a written prescription which the vet will probably charge for.
In fact.... I have just been in touch with our PDSA and if you are lucky enough to be able to use them you can get a 250ml bottle from them for £21 !
If you have just 1 pet, then I guess its pointless but we have 4 cats and a dog, so its a good plan for anyone who has more than 3 pets to buy the bottle I think.
If you want to get ahead in the Rat Race then you will need some faster Rats !!

Sorry for posting "such an awful price".At least many others have found it of some use as you cannot expect every user to find a post useful.

In addition sorry to the moderators for posting a code I completely forgot the posting rules.

Please Please do not do this, I have worked in veterinary practices for a long time and this is a guaranteed way to overdose your cat and possibly kill it. Much much better to buy the product specifically for cats.

Absolute rot and typical vet 'show me the money' scare story. We're trusted to measure out and give liquid suspension medication to our children...but not to animals??

Edit: Frontline is around 10% Fipronil. Acute oral LD50 (rat) is 97 mg/kg and acute dermal LD50 (rat) >2000 mg/kg so it could take over 20 grams of the product (per kilo!) dermally to have half a chance of killing your kitty.

  • hi everyone , i have stopped using frontline as it was not very affective, i have to use stronghold now as it is the only thing that really works even though it is really expensive.

Just had an email from Vet UK as haven't ordered with them in ages.

"Don't forget to enter the code hills33 in the discount coupon box on the checkout page and 33% of the cost of any Hills product will be deducted from your order total.
Know another pet owner? Forward this offer to a friend. "

Thought it would be one of these scams where they've firstly increased the prices to compensate, but that's not the case. Just got myself a massive order in for the prescription food my cats eat :)
