So it sounds like what you need is some way to set the controls to achieve a higher flow temp for a couple of hours in the morning to achieve a quicker warm up from the night set back but then go back to the lower flow needed to sustain the desired day temp.

Do you have a separate thermostat or is the control only by the leaving water temp?  I was just wondering if you had a thermostat you could chose three different temp periods, 17 at night, 23 say during the 'warm up' time and then 20 the rest of the day. The plan being that the 23 would 'fool; the unit into running a higher temp during this warm up period only.  Of course some days it might under/overshoot during the warm up period but it might get you your compromise of efficient flow rates and a quicker warm up?

That is what the modulation (load compensation) does on the Madoka room controller that this Daikin heat pump has.

It increase flow temperature to get to the set room temperature more quickly.

It can't do that if it is already at maximum output.

It's not an efficient way to run this heat pump and also not very comfortable maybe?

I would just leave it running and crack a window or two. The house will be warmer and it will need less electricity to do it.

    Where is the thermostat?

What temperature is where you sleep when the thermostat is at 20c?

But it is your home, why don't you do what makes you happy?

If that makes you comfortable asking other people what is most efficient isn't going to help as you want comfort before efficiency.

Do you have the option to set a third period, say 7:8:00 at 23C and then adjust the heat curve so the flow temp at the 17C and 20C time equates to constant running with no temp rise (or fall)?  Assuming as Matt says the unit has the output capacity to do this at low outside temps.

    thermostat in centre of home

    ? it's not 20 where I sleep. it 18 as per schedule .

Trying to run it efficiently but also so I can sleep with the constraints set out in earlier post

    yes due the schedule

yes due the curve byt I don't knew how to set the heat curve, example phrase

So, if the thermostat is set to 20c it is 20c where the thermostat is but 18c where you sleep?

Do you actually have the Madoka, that is Daikin's own room thermostat, or do you have something different?

    ITS SET TO THE SCHEDULE

the temp is as per the schedule, I've posted it above.

only thing is it takes about 3 hrs to go from 18C to 20C from 6am at zero C other than that, the temps are kept as per schedule which is what would be expected because the system is never turned off.

the whole house is the same temp because doors are open (as explained).and it's open plan when only doors on two bedrooms and bathroom

I'm sure you have tried this but can you use the TRVs on the bedroom rads to achieve slightly lower room temps or does too much air mix through the open doors for that to help?
