I've made a start painting my front room. Did a lot of tidying and decluttering today. Filled a couple of bin bags.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

yeah to the cleanerDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Thanks LWAP - yes will continue in person drawing groups where I can.
Thanks KK, Beanie, TG, Jwil, Blackcats, DIA, Lucielle. Cleaner's due back next Tuesday. Let's hope she shows. She may even re-wire my living room sockets which would be amazing... The joiners still haven't come back to me - so it looks like I need to learn some joinery skills and tell myself it's for 'art'!!
Garage door being done tomorrow. I went into work yesterday and made the mistake of not eating lunch and then shopping on the way home. £91 spend later (target 40-50 a week)... Should have stuck with deliveries. I got a lot of yellow stickered meat and other items dated today - so a lot of that is in my freezer so unsure how 'bad' it was really. I made a slow cooked lamb casserole - and had some after breakfast this morning!! I want to start earlier than typical today as I worked a shorter day yesterday as I had travel time to and from my official base...
Did some Italian this morning in bed. I also want to try and start doing a daily walk... If I start slightly earlier - then I can have longer breaks too... Will see how it goes.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I got out for a walk at lunchtime. There's a nature area really close to my house and the bird song was utterly amazing. Good day overall. I caught up some of the time I was unable to do yesterday which was another win. I want to build Italian and a walk into my daily practice as part of getting fitter and healthier and preparing for my June holiday. I deliberately just listened to the birds rather than filling my head with noise and it did feel more of a break - despite only being 35 minutes so not hugely long. I think in the summer I may even take chairs there and a picnic blanket when I have guests as it is so close to home and yet you feel in another world.
I've ordered one of those daylight alarms so will see if that helps with getting up. I've lost some ear buds I only recently replaced and my fitness watch which is frustrating. I even did some tidying up in my bedroom in the hope it would surface but they haven't yet. Still a result though as more clothes put away and the next lot of laundry ready to go in the wash. Also did the dishwasher today. Having the cleaner in on Monday was motivating - and knowing she's due back is encouraging me to continue getting stuff organised so it's easier to clean. That should then in turn help with my business as I won't have to tidy up and clean before I can even film...
More of my bulbs are showing through. I'll post some photos from my walk after...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
