    Haha I cancelled the cleaner.

I realised I really can't afford it either. She was so flappy around the dogs I think that may have been more stressful than cleaning myself.

    Thanks Lucielle, Beanie and Alchemilla

I'm okay Beanie - just feel very busy. Before Xmas I was feeling very overwhelmed - so trying to do things differently.
I'm consciously spending less time on here - so I'm not keeping up with diaries very well - please don't (anyone) take it personally. I can't juggle a day job, thinking about a potential side hustle and the rest of life - and spend as many hours as I was on here. It had got out of balance so re-balancing currently - aka neglecting all diaries... Someone at work is interested in being a regular participant on my planned side hustle - perhaps once a month to start - so that seems positive. I need to do some more work on that this weekend.

Now that my art group has started back up that is also taking up time and is really positive. It is very warm and welcoming - if anything it was too busy this week - but not helped by me being the last to arrive. I seem to have tried too late to get a slot for next week - so I've booked the following two - and messaged the organiser to let me know if someone else cancels. Everyone was really encouraging and friendly there. And TBF - I think a lot of artists are quite introverted and enjoy parallel play so everyone wins...

I have managed to focus better on work this week so feel better there. Someone commented I seemed lit from within again which was nice. I have been feeling happier despite RL stuff out of my control. I had made an effort with makeup too and wore my new top so it boosted my confidence.

I've got someone coming for a cleaner interview the week after next. I spoke to one supplier today - and they were too expensive and really patronising and tried to shame me. So I went back to the one I got my previous (unrealiable) cleaners from. Hopefully third time lucky!

I've contacted some people on FB too about joiner and electrician work as although people came to quote - they haven't given me any dates - and the joiner didn't even give me a figure.

The wind seems to have broken my garage door beyond repair which makes getting an electrician in all the more urgent - and I'd prefer electric... I'm at the hairdressers tomorrow - but after that I could do with emptying anything that could get damaged by rodents - as I'm not sure I can stop them getting in now!! It didn't have much in before Xmas but in the emergency tidy up that the pre-xmas family event turned in to some of my precious art supplies are in there and I want to rescue them. I'm scared the garage door might not go back on if I move it though. I may see what next door suggests. Failing that I could try and get some particle board but I think that makes it more obvious to burglars there is a problem so reluctant to do that. The cost and effort of that would outweigh the cost of replacing anything stored in there.

I also need someone to do something with my shed like put in a floor and repair the door on it so it shuts... Since the tarmac people came - I can't get it to shut any more... Is there a theme?????

I'm fed up of the bad weather we've been having. Very grateful I can occupy myself with art and other things... Loving H Place podcasts too at the moment...

Hope you get the garage door sorted. Still saving up for ours. Glad you’re enjoying the art. Is there a local fb group you could put a post on for a cleaner?

Hope you get a decent quote from the electrician.

    Thanks Jwil and Skint

I've been voice recording some of my thoughts towards a potential podcast. I wonder whether that's my entry point rather than a full on video. It might make it easier to get up and going. Once I'd got used to just talking - then longer term add the camera too? Still debating. I've got quite a selection now.

I may also see if I can create some little animations or summaries to come up while I'm talking to make it more interesting... Will see how things go.

I bought some new clothes today - as I've damaged some of the new trousers I bought earlier in the year - and needed to renew them. I also bought a teal jacket and some tops. The hairdresser and his wife who also works there - was lovely. He gave me a half hug.

Podcast sounds like a good stepping stone to moving towards video.
