DH and I popped to the local car boot this morning while the kids were still in bed. The biggest challenge was trying to find somewhere to leave a note where they might actually bother to read it!
Left it on their tablets which worked for little miss, Little jwil was still in bed when we got back. I only bought some books for little miss.
We might go to have a mooch around another one in a bit, but other than that, just a chilled day I think. It's still a nice change for DH not to be working on a bank holiday."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". All our local boot sales have been cancelled due to the weather.

I did sit with a book in the afternoon, sadly I still haven't managed the art of getting the children to wait on me hand and foot

Happy Thursday! Roll on pay day tomorrow. It feels like it's been another expensive month.
We had the dentist on Tuesday and although no issues, it was over £100 just for our checkups. Yesterday we met up with friends and tried out a newly opened place, it was over £30 entry and the kids didn't particularly enjoy it so we weren't there for very long. At least we've done it, but it just feels like a bit of a waste.
Little miss also had her ASD assessment yesterday. It went well, and although they need more time to put together what I discussed with them and what little miss discussed with them separately, and go back to school, I think it sounds like she will have a diagnosis of ADHD and/or ASD. Once they've decided their conclusions we'll have another appointment to see what the next steps are.
DH walked out of his job yesterday. Whilst his reasoning sounds fair and I am fully supportive, it just feels like the uncertainty is never going to end. He thinks the agency will find him something else for next week so we'll just have to see.

An expensive week combined with the uncertainty of DHs work must be anxiety provoking.
Make sure you do something relaxing for yourself to balance things out.
As you say, the weekend is nearly here.If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them
