The day did improve, my meeting went better than expected, and my lovely colleague had picked up some of the depressing emails
I'm not a huge fan of scary films, but I do love a bit of Stephen King!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee5 -

Another little extra to my PAD this morning from a small lottery win
It's not looking quite so bad for this month now.
It's nice to be off again. Not much planned for today. Little jwil is still in bed, little miss is dressed in a onesie so it doesn't look like she wants to be up to much. Little jwil is I think off to a sleepover later so I'll try and do something with little miss later. Other than that, just pottering around. My shopping has been delivered and packed away. I've started putting up some of our halloween decorations, we don't have many. I do need to get some batteries for our pumpkins.
I've done a few surveys this morning."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee3 -

As it's payday tomorrow I sent a little extra over today so I could get into the next hundred on the car bill

I've updated my financial and spending spreadsheets. This month has been so spendy, I really need to rein that in a bit (lot!).
I've done the meter readings so need to submit them and also try and have a look and see how much the car is impacting on the electricity bill. We should have a couple of months now, and although I don't charge too often, I suspect I need to up the DD a little bit. Our electricity use throughout the year tends to be fairly static so it should be obvious how much extra we are using.
Yesterday was an extremely spendy day! I have been thinking about upgrading my ipad for a while as I keep running out of space, largely because of my books on there. Little miss's tablet has been playing up for a while, so we've been intending on getting her something new for her birthday. So we've decided to buy me a new ipad, and give her my old one for her birthday, so we can at least see how she gets on with it before spending a fortune on a new one. So I ordered that online and then went into town to pick it up. Whilst in town I did some Xmas/birthday shopping too. Then when I came home I needed to order a new case for the new tablet as my current one doesn't fit, and then a new case for little miss as well. Then I spotted that the thing little jwil wants for Xmas was on a deal and so I ordered that too, along with a couple of other bits.
So, a hugely spendy day, but it does mean that I am getting very close to being sorted for Christmas, and all the 'big' stuff is done. It will be very nice for me not to have to constantly uninstall and reinstall apps every time there is a software update. I spent the afternoon wiping the tablet and resetting it up for little miss with the apps I know she uses, and there's loads of space left on there, so it should be fine for her for a year or two. She'll also get more use out of it as there's a lot she can't access with her existing fire tablet.
We're off out bowling today with friends, and I need to pick up little jwil on the way as he was at a sleepover last night.
I've been off plan a lot this week so I need to get back on track with my eating as well! I'm finding it a lot harder in the cooler weather and bad habits are trying to creep back in.
DH sold two items yesterday, so they have been packed and posted. A couple of big boxes gone as well."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee7 -
